The FDA “dropped the ball’’ on the country’s baby-formula crisis — shutting down a crucial plant on top of product recalls and then not warning parents of the ramifications, experts told The Post on Friday.
Desperate moms and dads have been trawling stores across the country in search of baby formula ever since mega-manufacturer Abbott issued a safety recall in February for products made at its plant in Sturgis, Mich., over contamination concerns.
The Food and Drug Administration later closed the plant after federal inspectors found Abbott failed to maintain sanitary conditions and procedures there — sparking a cascade of crippling effects on the supply chain.

We have what is basically a Soviet-style system for baby-formula
Two big companies control about 80% of the market, and 3 companies control about 98% of the market
Fed.gov buys over half of all baby-formula, for Foodstamp/WIC users, so Fed.gov contracting and price-bids, and the FDA regulation, have basically made sure its impossible to have new entrants.
Do Americans work at these plants or are they government imports?
They didn’t drop it, they spiked it and did a marxist victory dance in the end zone.
But...it was determined that none of the baby formula products made at the plant contained contaminated ingredients.
Somewhere in the FDA there is an individual who’s withholding signoff for the Abbott plant to restart. If there ever was a government employee who needed doxxing he/she is IT. If said individual is being leaned on by a Brandon flunky, we need to know who THAT person is. Name and ID number.

If you go back two decades....same story with the anthrax vaccination business...one factory....one single inspection over a 20-year period, and then one day...FDA shows up. Major sanitation issues, and they shut the plant down. No alternate site.
Company involved went to the Pentagon and demanded they ‘order’ or overcome the situation. They refused. So the production came to a halt. Funny thing, with the cost factor of fixing all the issues, they came to Pentagon and said you need to pay us to resolve this mess. They did exactly that. Seemed like they were shut down for most of a year.

They did not find that Abbott was a source of bacteria. They were just looking for reasons to shut it down. And this is the result.
