President Donald Trump is urging Pennsylvania Republicans to reject surging Senate candidate Kathy Barnette in a Tuesday primary as controversial past remarks surface making her a tougher sell in the general election.
Trump backs Dr. Oz ahead of voting in what appears to be a three-way race against Barnette, a firebrand political commentator and failed 2020 House candidate, and businessman David McCormick.
“She lost her race as a congressional candidate by more than 20 points. She was really hit hard,” Trump said in Thursday night teleconference remarks circulated by Oz’s campaign.
“The problem is nobody knows what she is, what she stands for, who she is. It’s very risky because you’re going to win this with Oz,” Trump added.
“Kathy’s going to be a lot of trouble. I think she’s going to be a lot of trouble,” Trump said. “She may have a great future, but she’s totally an unknown. We can’t have that. So a vote for Oz is a vote for victory, and a vote for anyone else is a vote for giving away an election that really has to be had. We have to take a majority in the Senate.”

Trump gets all sorts of things wrong.
Like E15 gasoline.
Hmmmm Tell us what you know about her that no one else will!
Hang on! Demands?
Trump is a horrible politician.
Doing much better than Republicans typically do in that district - including 3 points better than Trump himself. If you are trying to point out signs of electoral weakness that is certainly not something you would cite - if she does that well again in that area of the state, she would handily win the state. Doesn't mean that would happen - every race is different - but her losing that district by 20 points in the previous does not that argument make.
Trump demands? I don’t think so.
Trump also backed John Bolton
And listen to people around him.
If he did these things, he'd understand that comments about Barnette not being vetted, by the guy that hired Sessions, Tillerson, Pence, etc, sound somewhat ironic.
Keep in mind that this a highly competitive race, and there will be many more bushels of scorn heaped upon those who appear to have some edge in the race. The only effect of this is to make the eventual winner subject to an attack by the Democrat candidate, using the same charges that are being applied now by the rivals within the Republican side.
Whether there is any substance to them or not.
The game is like this the Fakeservative Media attacks Barnette to help Oz and or McCormick.
The Drive By Media makes nice about Barnette hoping Trump loses on Tuesday night.
Actually, he didn’t “demand”, but he was certainly arguing against her. NY Post using “demand “ to stir up anger.
“demands” may just be the words of the headline writer
Trump is a smart guy. He didn’t get rich by listening to others. Why is he obviously listening to bad advice on many topics? Specially on this one, he has all the talking points tee’d up, but we have a government OF, I repeat OF, the people. Look at AOC on the other side for proof. To hell with talking points, this is not a football game with a spread, we are electing one of US to retirement US. I an so over these people with golden resumes selling me down the river.
And another anti Barnette post by conservative98… surprise surprise…. What is this #7 or #8 today for ya?
Same old song and dance
“Demands”? Hold on there, Pardner!

Debunking Sean Hannity’s Desperate (and False) Accusations Against Kathy Barnette
By J.D. Rucker • May. 13, 2022
The Big Lie
Despite the various attempts by Hannity et al to cast doubt on Barnette’s character, the one argument that seems to be sticking with many conservatives is her electability. Many are basing this on claims that she was embarrassingly defeated in 2020 by a “weak” Democrat. On Thursday’s show, he said [emphasis added]:
“Kathy Barnett has not gotten any kind of vigorous, rigorous vetting that is now proving to be a massive problem in this race. Here’s why… In 2020 she was not a serious candidate in her congressional race she lost to a pretty weak Democrat by 19 points.”
What Hannity doesn’t mention is that the “weak” Democrat was Madeleine Dean, a Democrat incumbent in a very blue district. Compared to Dan David who ran against Dean in 2018, Barnette dramatically outperformed him, getting 48% more votes than David got in his race against Dean two years earlier.
Hannity and others are hoping that voters will equate losing in 2020 in a congressional race to a loss in 2022 in a senate race. This is unambiguously false and extremely disingenuous for them to rely on the ignorance of many voters. Her very strong performance in a very blue district is why she would almost certainly win in a statewide senate race
How quick you turn on Trump. Reminds me when you guys turned on Palin.
Shooting ourselves in the foot!! Should’ve let things alone! Now PA is quick becoming out of reach and the rats are salivating gleefully! Stupid party stupid stupid party.
The Bigely Pharma Tool promoting vaccines at every turn believes Hillary would make a great President and stills backs Fauci.
