Pennsylvania Senate candidate Kathy Barnette says she "worked on Wall Street for many years." She's about 955 miles off.
Barnette, a conservative commentator, cited her experience on Wall Street in 2011 and 2020, and in an attack on Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign. "I worked 4 years on Wall Street. Would u invest money w/ someone who was filing bankruptcy?" she wrote of Trump's finances in 2016.
But Barnette's official résumé suggests she worked far from the domain of "bulls, bears, [and] people from Connecticut." She has held three jobs in the financial services industry, according to a now-deleted LinkedIn profile. She was an associate analyst at the Missouri-based A.G. Edwards from 1997 to 1999, and a financial equity analyst at "Banc of America Capital Management," her résumé says. She described the latter as a "major Wall Street firm" but worked for the company in St. Louis.
A Washington Free Beacon geographic analysis found that Wall Street is in New York City, not St. Louis. There is a Wall Street in the midwestern town, but it is largely residential.
The inconsistency emerges as Barnette faces other questions about her background. Barnette, whose surge in polls has caught opposing GOP campaigns by surprise, gave contradictory answers about whether she voted for Trump in the 2016 primary. She claimed this week she did, but said in her 2020 book, "I didn’t vote for Trump in the primaries." Barnette opposed Trump during much of the 2016 campaign, saying his moral character was "questionable," but said she joined the "Trump train" by the general election. Barnette insisted this week she voted for Trump in 2016, but the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette reported she did not cast a ballot in Pennsylvania until 2018..

No she isn’t.
Pretty sure Oz didn’t vote for Trump in 2016 as well. He got his 501c3 from erdogan tho when he left the Turkish military..
“Trump, ... blasted Barnette ... saying she ‘will never be able to win the General Election against the Radical Left Democrats.’”
That is “blasted”? That author has a flair for the dramatic. It’s a simple statement. Doesn’t even merit a “boom”.
Lot of stuff coming out.
I don’t think this is the end of the oppo material, either.
And all of this late money for Barnett shows how desperate the GOPe is in keeping the moderates in power.
I thought she solid but now too much has come out. Trump is right.
I don’t think she’s a whack job. I do think she’s someone who isn’t quite ready for prime time and never thought she’d be on this stage.
The sad part of cancel culture is that things can be dug up on you from 20 years ago. 30 years ago, there was no internet to remember. Now everything is remembered.
Saying bombastic things on the small stage to get attention works. But those same things can come back and bite you when you get on the big stage.
On the other hand, yeah, she’s said some pretty intense stuff. So I’m not trying to take that away, either. My guess is just she said it for attention.
Plus it is still more physically demanding than 14 months of desk duty in the Club Med location of Okinawa. One of the two front-runners for the Democrat nomination struts about in his USMC dress whites for general elections and the news media never complains: Congressman Conor Lamb.
This is a gray area.
And to me it is puffery and not accurate. There are a lot of ways to phrase it that dont make people think you are working on Wall Street.
Btw, did she work there during this:

“Way better than Oz 7 10x’s more conservative.”
Right!
Her BLM support and desire for an Obama statue prove it.
Are you yet another shill or another duped Freeper? That was a profoundly dishonest edit. She was speaking out against BLM to blacks—and made her position clear.
And Oz has something like 1600 recorded TV episodes with no record of ever having uttered a conservative sentiment, while routinely buddying up to leftist ideas and icons.
“this slew of articles and TV appearances show how scared the Oz establishment is.”

Reminiscent of the attacks on Trump - which never stopped. (Though if he continues attacking Barnette it will earn him some praise for a limited time.)
Every serious Republican candidate will be attacked as EVILLL! - even the rinos, if they are in the way.
She reminds me of the Sharon Angle candidacy in NV in 2010 against Harry Reid.
biden and his wild stories come to mind
riding a few hours in a truck makes him a truck driver
same kind of idea...
I don’t have a dog in this hunt but Dr Oz has struck me as smarmy.
Pennsylvania Ping!
Please ping me with articles of interest.
FReepmail me to be added to the list.
Does anyone really know who Oz is??
He might say some of the right things but is he really a conservative?
He’s sounding a lot like Mitt Romney. Folks...this guy might flip in a heartbeat on many issues.
He’s needs to vetted with some very pointed questions...
Funny thing that “can’t win a general election”...
that’s exactly the same crap these same players were saying about Trump in 2016...
I’ll take Barnette over Oz or McCormick any day, and unlike most the folks attacking Barnette... I actually live in PA...
It’s been lovely watching the swamp that is the GOP of PA behave exactly true to form once it was clear the peon voters weren’t sticking to their script.
A.G. Edwards is or was a Wall Street firm in that it’s a brokerage. This article is really nit-picking a definition. I doubt any of the big “Wall Street” firms are actually located on Wall Street.
“ And Oz has something like 1600 recorded TV episodes with no record of ever having uttered a conservative sentiment, while routinely buddying up to leftist ideas and icons.”
Sounds like Trump
