There are a million reasons why Manchin should jump ship and become a Republican. The most important would be it would put him in agreement with the large majority of his state's residents.

Can't speak for Murkowski but Collins does vote reasonably at times. Given Maine's reality (populated largely by refugees from Massachusetts) she is the best anyone can hope for from that state. You can be damn sure that any Rat who held the seat would make Bernie look like William F Buckley by comparison.
Being a lifelong resident I can assure Freepers that the New England states have gone almost entirely Maoist.

It would be hard to reconcile Federally mandated abortion with the Enumerated Powers as defined in the US Constitution. This is the main reason why SCOTUS invented “abortion rights” through court-fiat than by the legislative process. If this were to pass, several states would sue to have it blocked or tossed out and we’d be back to where we will be at the end of May when SCOTUS overturns Roe.

Good, egghead the ex Astronut from AZ. is on record. He is done. Probably the same for the phoney Reverend from Georgia.

Think this guy is trying to vote his conscience. He has little in common with the Rats.

Then why vote today? And why celebrate it getting barely voted down? The dems are heavily invested in protecting this "right" as part of their group identity, so they have to do *something* to be seen opposing the SCOTUS draft opinion. The legislature's version of protesting in the streets, you could say.
No harm in celebrating their ineffectiveness at this point.

NOT every turn, Nick.
Look at what we had for four years and I’m convinced that it will happen again.
Let’s both say a prayer that it will happen.

It’s pure evil.)

If the majority of WV is Republican, how did he get elected? And how did Jay Rockefeller before him, an obnoxious loudmouth libtard if ever there was one.
