Just after noon on Tuesday, a passenger flying in a single-engine plane about 20 miles east of Boca Raton, Fla., radioed air-traffic control.
“I’ve got a serious situation here. My pilot has gone incoherent,” the man said, adding from about 9,000 feet up that he had “no idea how to fly the airplane.”
The passenger, who did not identify himself in the exchange archived on LiveATC.net, told the control tower that he was not sure where he was — only that he could “see the coast of Florida in front of me.”
From a tower in Fort Pierce, about 75 miles north of Boca Raton, the air traffic controller asked the passenger to reiterate his situation. The passenger repeated that the pilot was incoherent: “He is out.”

Did you expect Don Knotts? Paul Lynde? Rip Taylor? Nothing he could do but be calm.
It would be interesting to find out if the unconscious pilot was vaccinated or not though.
This is a scene right out of “It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad world.”
A little more going on than we think.
Still betting the guy works for Musk...or somehow connected to Elon.
Well, we DO have a man with no idea where he is running the country.
That’s the first thing I considered...those little spike thingees.
Uh, Alexa, land the plane please.
“Well, we DO have a man with no idea where he is running the country.”
True, but Biden has a hand up his back with many puppeteers. The guy who landed the plane had one guy at ATC and his cojones.

It’s truly amazing what one can accomplish when one is highly motivated.
God Bless!
Most aircraft are designed to be flow by idiots.
Hard part is when Schiff goes wrong.
That what we pay the pilots for.
Full disclosure; I’m a Former Boeing engineer
Experimental flight test.
It is amazing nowadays that modern big jets can basically take off, fly and land themselves.
there’s a pilot who does stories on airplanes and flights on Youtube. I’m guessing he’ll pick up on this.
Maybe the passenger owns the plane and it the pilot is his employee.
IIRCC
British airways;
Captain
does a flight, Co-pilot
does a flight, and computer
does the third.
In my opinion Computers are much
smoother.
How many computers have committed suicide in the last twenty years?
He crashed landed once in Washington state, and the last time in the water off the Bahamas. They caught him in the Bahamas trying to flee in stolen boat. Spent 6 years or so in prison.
He was sort of a “hero” to some, but I thought the punk should have gotten a lot more time due to all of the break-ins and thefts he did over so many years.
The only thing I saw about him recently was he was out of prison, was trying to raise money for flight school (no - he still has a bunch to pay in restituiton) and started a blog (no longer running) where he mentioned he liked President Trump.
So I guess the kid wasn’t SO bad. (”Kid”. He was 19 when he was caught. 30-something now I think.)
Looks like he's in the Home Decorator business. But there's got to be much more to the man. He came from the Bahamas to go home to his pregnant wife and it was a hop skip and a jump to home.
Name the kid Cessna....
(I'm not talking about the million and one "what-ifs" that could come up during a flight, each of them which requires extensive training on how to avoid and/or overcome. I'm talking about a scenario where ATC is directing the traffic away from you and ensuring a clean approach to a runway; visibility is good and your fuel level is adequate. If you have time in the air to review the landing procedures and you can maintain your composure, is there anything that would make a crash more likely than a safe landing?)
Pretty much. The Airbus I flew kept yakking at me about one thing or other. Now I know what a dog feels like watching TV.
My dad was a Boeing Electrical/Ordinance engineer for Boeing, '49-'79.
One summer he took me, a 16 year old with 5 other engineers to White Sands, NM to design, construct and explode ordinance under an Air Force contract.
Watching stuff explode from a bunker was too cool for a teenager.
Hey Sky, can you answer the question on post #37?
