It really is a puzzle. Why the hatred of Trump and everyone around him. Do we sometimes disagree with him? Of course.
Rudy Giuliani said it best, something to the effect if you agree with him 80% of the time then vote for him, if you only agree 20% of the time vote for the other guy, if you agree with him 100% of the time go see a psychologist.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. I’ve known Doug for several years now and he is nothing like how you are describing him. And oh yeah, Doug’s job for the past thirty years has been fighting America’s wars. But you obviously have a problem with that.
Mastriano has ruffled the feathers of the corrupt PA GOPe. I wouldn’t listen to them if they were the last people on earth.
Dr. Oz talks the Reagan/Trump talk but his past (and present) associations make many of wonder if he will really walk the walk...Except for the names it's verbatim what was being said about Trump in 2015.

How much of this is true, and how much of this is MSNBC just telling a narrative? or overstating things to get clicks?
Election is now a week away, ballots are printed, mail in ballots are being recieved and Mastriano has been solidly in the lead for quite some time now.. if they were going to “orchestrate” a thinning of the field prior to election to consolidate support I don’t think its going to matter 7 days out.
There is no guarantee if someone pulls out that a percentage of their supporters won’t go to Mastriano. The ballots have already been printed, mail in votes are already in... even if someone pulls out this week they will still be on the ballot, so dropping out to consolidate the vote is a dubious ploy at best.
Honestly this doesn’t sound all that believable to me, sounds like MSNBC just pitching nonsense to the fools who want to hear the GOP is in disarray. Or starting the general campaign smearing laying the ground work that Mastriano is just too extreme.. etc...
But from a pragmatic standpoint, anyone dropping out now, their name will still be on the ballot, and as some one who has worked the polls in PA for the last 5 years, I can assure you, if your name is on the ballot and you pulled out, you are still going to get votes, either because folks didn’t know you dropped out, or don’t care.
If they were going to push for this, they should have done that before the ballots were printed.
OZ is a dog that won’t hunt in PA... And McCormick isn’t much better... both will be little more than general R in the general election and like it or not Fetterman is a serious canidate, he will eat Oz or McCormick for breakfast and crap them out by lunch.
They won’t play the PA voters in any meaningful way. The only way either one of them win the general election is if the Democratic brand is so tarnished, that a ham sandwich would win as long as it has a R beside its name.
There is a red wave coming this fall, but if there is a race where I think you are going to see an election counter than trend it will be the PA senate race if Oz or McCormick are the nominees...
Neither one is memorable or compelling in any way. Fetterman will play infinitely batter with the voters of this state than either of them.. so the only hope the GOP has, if either of them is the candidate, is that the anti-biden sentiment is so strong that folks are going to vote R no matter who the candidate is.
For crying out loud, it is less than a week from election day, and Oz and McCormick and their surrogates have spent 50-60 MILLION pushing themselves, and they are both have been stuck around 20%+/- the entire primary... and a woman who literally has no cash, and who’s spent less than 150k on tv advertising TOTAL is running neck and neck with them after having her only real exposure being 2 GOP Senatoral debates... That’s exactly how weak BOTH of these guys are...
I hope Barnette pulls off the upset... worked too hard to get RINO’s and Bush era “republicans” out of the Senate, will not be part of putting another one in there.
We will know soon enough who is the nominee...
but this narrative that OZ is a viable candidate in PA, is comical and is pushed by folks, most of which, have never set a foot in PA.
Fetterman is a BEAST, Oz got absolutely OWNED by Barnette in the debates, she just owned him... and all he could do is sit there and smirk looking like Gary Condit... Fetterman will absolutely destroy him or McCormick, IMHO.
Barnette might crash and burn in the general as well, but I’m more than willing to give her a shot vs either one of these guys... After Specter, Santorum and Toomey, I’m done with these types of candidates, and I know damn well I’m not alone. Trump absolutely changed the game and the GOPe much like the national GOPe, just refuses to accept reality, so we are going to have to force them to.
I am PRAYING hard for Barnette to pull this off and I am PRAYING hard that the people of PA. have had ENOUGH of the BS and are damned angry their election of 2020 was stolen from them!!

If you know Doug Mastriano, please ask him why the hell he voted for Act 77 and helped open the door PA’s “vote-by-mail” fraud in the first place. He stopped leading the charge to expose the 2020 election fiasco because too many people were asking about his role in enabling it, right?
Yeah, I am. It was simple contact tracing on a very limited scale during the first few days of Wolf's lockdown, when we didn't know if we were dealing with the simple Wu-flu or Ebola.
As for Act 77 (SB 421), Doug had NOTHING to do with its conception, introduction, mark-up, and passage out of committee...that all happened THREE MONTHS before he was even elected, and popped out of the sausage-making hopper just as he arrived in Harrisburg. It was Lisa Boscola's bill. Here's the legislative history...do you see Mastriano's name anywhere on it?
At any rate, it was a REPUBLICAN bill, designed to reach lazy Republican voters, and increase turnout, which the Democrats all opposed. And it had a bunch of safeguards in it to prevent the kind of fraud that happened, but were illegally removed by the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court and Wolf's Secretary of State, which SCOTUS Justice Alito let them get away with because of COVID hysteria.

With all that said, I suppose that NOTHING he did later in standing up to Wolf, doing his nightly fireside chats to the people of the Commonwealth, leading those big anti-lockdown rallies in Harrsiburg, and finally going to bat for Trump when nobody else would, matters, right?
