The Dems have been beginning “to put forward a vision” at least since the time of FDR, if not all the way back to Andrew Jackson. And the vision simply disappears every time blacks get closer, just like a mirage in the desert. It does so because that is exactly what Dems offer, a mirage. The Dem leaders are, in point of fact, plantation owners, which, increasingly, black and Latino voters have figured out. They want to keep their dependents on the plantation. Conservatives want to free them.
