Democrat Ads in Pennsylvania are Designed to Bolster Republican Mastriano's Chances in May 17th Primary
The Franklin County Journal ^ | May 9th 2022 | Dwight D. Weidman

he Democrats seem to want Mastriano to be the Republican candidate to face their guy, Attorney General Josh Shapiro, in November. Knowing that Mastriano would be by far the weakest candidate to run against Shapiro in the “purple” state of Pennsylvania, the Dems have taken the nearly unprecedented step of spending a ton of money on TV ads and glossy mailers directed at REPUBLICAN voters, stating that “A vote for Doug Mastriano is a vote for Donald Trump”, and “Doug Mastriano: Trump’s Best Friend in Pennsylvania”.

We wife and I were laughing at their ad. It’s everything we believe.

Huh? Maybe they’re thinking the opposite, that he’s the stronger candidate, and tying him to Trump will weaken him....

” 20% of voters indicating they’d vote for him (Mastriano). McSwain followed at 12%, Lou Barletta at 11% and Dave White at 8%.”

I’ll be honest, none of these guys excite me in any way... Mastriano’s support of lock down and privacy violations during Covid make him a poison pill...

None of these guys really have strong support, but whoever wins this is odds on to be the next governor, and honestly, none of them really excite anyone.

Democrats think tying someone to TRUMP will weaken them in the general election.

I like Lou Barletta the best. Mastriano came out of no where. His fame is based on the televised accounting of the 2020 election maleficence. But I also think Mastriano scares the Rats more than any other candidate because Mastriano will clean up Harrisburg and appoint a special prosecutor to go after the long running Philadelphia election mafia. It is way past time that something was done about it.

That’s right. So the premise of the article is wrong. The Democrats fear Mastriano

Democrat Claire McCaskill ran ads for Republican Todd Akin in the MO Senate primary in 2012. The entire ad was all about Akin until the “paid for by Claire McCaskill for Senate” announcement at the end of the ad. First time I saw it, I thought it was a mistake.

Barletta is the best choice. Mastriano won’t top 40% against Shapiro in November, and that’s without all of the scandals waiting to happen. Republicans need swing votes to win in November in PA, and it won’t happen.

yeah, right. That’s why they want him to win. PA Dems are praying (or whatever they do) for a Mastriano primary win. Mastriano said he wouldn’t support any other Republican candidate if he didn’t win, so many Republicans will turn their back on him as well.

Barletta has the best track record, plus executive experience. He has our vote, but I would also vote for a soggy hot dog bun over Shapiro.

So, are you saying that the Democrats have a winning formula? If so, why? Sounds to me like they are actually more afraid of Doug, but are trying to sway, people to accept their premise. I for one do not think it’s going to be a winning campaign. But, we will see I guess.

I remember Trump at the rally...

TRUMP:”Hey, where’s Lou? Where’s Lou Barletta.? There he is. Hey, Lou. Get your ass up here!”

"None of these guys really have strong support, but whoever wins this is odds on to be the next governor..."

You're kidding, right?

Shapiro is one of the dirtiest Democrat bastards anywhere, has oodles of geld to campaign with, and (obviously) full support of the media controllers and therefore the support of all of the low-IQ voters in PA.

Any Republican should do better than Scott Wagner did against Commie Tommie in 2018, but it's not hard at all to see why the Rat Bastards want Mastriano. It's going to be all "Mastriano == Trump!!! and "Mastriano pushed baseless, debunked vote fraud allegations!!!" 24/7 even though those allegations were 100% accurate. WE know that, but the morons who comprise the majority of PA voters do not.

The media and the money (and some R candidates -- Oz) being what they are, PA Republicans are facing major uphill battles to win either statewide race in November. Between these races, the ultra-rigged state legislative maps which are very likely to hand the Democrats both Houses, and of course the rigged Congressional districts, PA is a strong possibility to be at the top of the list of massive disappointments (along with Georgia) in November.

Hopefully it works out better than that -- Red Wave Incoming!! -- but those who can't even muster the courage to face the possibility of that wave petering out to a trickle in Pennsylvania are fooling themselves.

This article sez Shapiro will be the Dem candidate in November. I was under the impression that big Lerch, the Lt. Guvnah had it in the bag.

Uncle Fester is running for the US Senate. Shapiro is unopposed in the Dem primary for Governor.

No one officially. Mastriano lied and said he was Trump’s pick but was immediately slapped down by Trump’s offfice. Lou Barletta is the real pro-Trump candidate in the race. He was the first in PA to support Trump.

You have it figured out. Anyone familiar with PA politics would agree with you, but too many fall in love with a candidate like Mastriano. Doug is right on some issues, but he is a huge scandal waiting to happy. Shapiro, who is Attorney General, will tie him in knots. The Dougbots are blind to this kind of logic, however. Most are totally ignorant of politics.
