The Russian statement is similar to North Korea making the same statement.
Both are talking crap, yes Russia has nukes and a lot of them, sure they could destroy all the major cities in Europe in minutes, but guess what, UK and France have nukes as well, so does the USA and could destroy Russia in a matter of minutes.

I don't quite agree with that statement. North Korea only has a few nukes and we might be able to shoot down some or most of them and limit the damage, though even one would do a hell of a lot of damage.
On the other hand, Russia has thousands, and an exchange would leave a totally new world.
