Biden Portland carried solidly Democratic Oregon over former President Donald Trump by a 56.4% to 40.4% margin in the 2020 election.
The curse of many western states is that one big city dictates what the rest of the state gets politically. Ditto for Washington state and Seattle.

I might be biased but I’ll prefer Newsom and Cuomo over Kate Brown. At least Newsom and Cuomo both will eventually back off while Kate Brown is “all in”.
