Get rid of android. I’m dumping droid as soon as my aging phone dies. Going to find another solution, probably No Agenda Phone or Linux.
What lockdown orders are they talking about?
In PA, one of the Democrat governed states, bars, restaurants and other businesses were closed for a while - but there was no restriction on my movements that I recall. If I wanted to drive to a closed restaurant and stand outside the door, there was no law against it.
I suppose people might have had to stay home for a period after traveling - maybe they could bust people who violated those rules.
The only thing I can think of is busting bars and restaurants who stayed open despite the lockdowns - but I doubt there was much of that - and they sent government agents around to enforce that.
This sounds like a scare tactic

Keep it on but store it in a faraday shield bag?
The bag isn’t effective. It’s like shutting it off.
The moment is out of the bag they have t the data they need.
Just get used to life without it again. It’s really that simple.
Don’t take it with you all the time. I use a cb to talk to my house when I’m out. I still carry a cell phone but I am aware of its capability. Bad data is better than no data. Put that phone on a bus and stick it under a seat. Buses even have power outlets.
Toss onto a boat. Put it in the back of a ups truck.
Use the device against those who would use it against you. Bad data.
Now it is 1984
Knock-knock at your front door
It’s the suede-denim secret police
They have come for your uncool niece
Too bad Jello is now on the side of the tyrants.

Yeah, that what I figured too.
Anytime an ordinary citizen makes a head fake toward desiring privacy, Big Brother gets the shivers.
Yup. In the least 2 years I learned to break the habit of taking the cell phone with me everywhere. I left it home all the time when I had to shop during ‘20 and most of ‘21. It’s a useful tool but I depsise how intrusive the thing is.
almost close to ditching my cell completely....
