Amazon barely lets its employees...

It's a cynical ploy to deflect from it's own shoddy or questionable treatment of its employees.

Jeff Bezos well knows that abortion is a holy grail of Democrat politics. Offering this reimbursement gives him a chance for absolution from his other business practices, at least in the eyes of abortion absolutists that dominate Democrat Party politics.

But if you read further...

OK, if you're expecting me to actually read the entire article before spouting off my opinion, I think you're being very unreasonable...

“Separately, Amazon offers up to $10,000 in annual travel reimbursements for life-threatening issues. “

Okay, i don’t want the local yokel who is in my network.

Can I get 10 grand to travel to Mayo or The Cleveland Clinic?

I bet not.

LOLOL...I think it is being phrased to appear the most reasonable but if some minimum wage drone in the warehouse wants 10 grand to travel to Mayo because he wants better treatment I bet Bezos says FORGET YOU.

“Travel expenses.”
Gee, does that seem like enough to fund an abortion? I don’t keep up with costs.

Amazon would spend so much less if they simply paid for birth control products for these females. There are many on the market to choose from . . . much simpler than pregnancy and abortion.

From a Fox News article:

The policy, which is effective retroactively from Jan. 1, applies if an operation is not available within 100 miles of an employee's home and virtual care is not possible. In addition to abortions, Amazon's new policy also covers treatments related to cardiology, cellular gene therapies, oncology and substance abuse disorder services.

Exactly. Another example of politicized "woke" corporations at work. Bezos and his CEO Andy Jassy are just trying to win Democrat party elite brownie points so they can continue to mistreat the working class people that they pretend they are so concerned about.

Will they give a parent $4,000 if they decide to have the baby, or do they prefer their employees kill their own children?

the fine print is going to be whether it is available in the local area.

I am facing that right now. I have been referred out to an out of network facility because no one in the local area can figure out the issue. I know this is going to be a battle with the insurance company. For example, you want an out of network neurologist? say what?? PSHAW...plenty of neurologists in your area.

Good point.

It’s expensive actually having a child...instead of killing it.

why don’t they just require that their employees be sterilized? Presto, no need for an abortion.

Sounds crazy, but why not. Companies have already shown they can terminate you for not taking an unapproved vaxx which doesn’t work for a virus which kills a fraction of a percent. So what would prevent them from force sterilizing their employees.

“This won’t be offered to the part time slaves that are more likely to use it.”

Good point but it will nevertheless lower the quality of full-time applicants.

Birth control pills are $4/month at walmart. Condoms are cheap or free from health department or most college bars. Abstaining during ovulation is free. Abortion is for people too irresponsible to bother with any of that.
