Forty-five percent of young LGBTQ people seriously considered attempting suicide in 2021, according to a survey published Wednesday by the LGBTQ mental health nonprofit the Trevor Project. It's the third consecutive year that rates of suicidal ideation have increased among LGBTQ youth, the organization said.
"We must recognize that LGBTQ young people face stressors simply for being who they are that their peers never have to worry about," CEO and executive director of the Trevor Project Amit Paley said in a statement.
For the nonprofit's fourth edition of its National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health, researchers surveyed nearly 34,000 LGBTQ people between the ages of 13 and 24 in the U.S. between September 20 and December 31, 2021. With 45% of respondents being people of color and 48% being transgender or nonbinary, the annual survey is "one of the most diverse surveys of LGBTQ youth ever conducted," according to the Trevor Project.
Researchers found that 53% of those who seriously considered suicide in the past year were transgender and nonbinary youth, and that 33% were cisgender young people. Fourteen percent of LGBTQ youth attempted suicide last year, including nearly one in five transgender and nonbinary youth, as well as nearly one in 10 cisgender youth.
LGBTQ youth of color considered and attempted suicide at higher rates than their White counterparts, with the highest percentages among Native American, Black and Middle Eastern or North African persons, according to the survey. By sexual orientation, pansexual young people of color, queer and questioning youth reported higher rates of considered and attempted suicide. Transgender males, nonbinary or genderqueer and transgender females considered and attempted suicide at the highest rates.

ok so what is the solution?
Are they still stuck on that Florida law; is the solution that we must tell 1st graders they can be transgender or gay? Is the solution that we must expose kids to drag queens?
They publicize this and it seems shocking that big numbers of some group contemplate or commit suicide. But what do they want to do, to treat people so they are not suicidal?
I know due to political correctness, we aren’t allowed to say that these kids have any mental/emotional problems. So that right there can tie our hands in dealing with these kids.
Often I’ve heard, that transgender especially have high suicide rates due to society being so oppressive towards them. So there’s that mindset to deal with .
I wonder how many of these youth were introduced to LGBTQ behavior by others.
And how many more were given the idea by MSM and Hollywood trying to make LGBTQ seem normal.
My opinion, the emphasis should be on stopping kids from becoming LGBTQ in the first place. We should still provide mental health support to those that are or will become LGBTQ,l but that support should not be in the public eye.
In the name of helping those LGBTQ, we are creating a whole army of LGBTQ, by constantly bombarding kids with LGBTQ images.

Are they saying that most suicidal people in this country are transgender/nonbinary youth? That would be astonishing. Or are they just referring to their tailored sample group?
With LGBT crap enjoying its greatest affirmation since Ancient Greece, these snowflakes are considering suicide? It sure ain’t society and bullying pushing them into it.

Of course they did. Parents are telling them “it’s ok”, “it’s normal” etc. Schools are promoting it. What chance does a 5 year old have?

Every society no matter how open and accepting of homosexuality that has studied it has found that homosexuals are fare more likely to commit suicide and have other chronic mental issues... The sodomite movement tries to blame society not accepting it as the cause, but its just not true... Even in cultures and societies that have zero stigma tied to homosexual behavior see these issues.
What a surprise that mentally ill people engaging in self-destructive behaviors, think about killing themselves.
I’ve been saying for a while that these kids that are force-perverted are going to grow up and be F’D UP in the head BIG TIME.
Ever notice that a majority of serial killer types, almost all had serious issues in their youth. Just wait till these eggs hatch.
And feeding them the hopeless prospect that they CANNOT ever change, and in fact, they will be hounded, accused and possibly criminalized if they try, has to put the last nail in the coffin.
Not surprising- confused and damaged psychological issues with trying to be the opposite gender vs ones DNA. The lying snakes deceiving leftards who promote such garbage of the soul.
I’ll continue to say it. Homosexuals on the whole were never healthier than when their behavior was nearly universally condemned by society.
No amount of “normalization” in the public forum is going to make these kids feel normal.
They know in their gut, that the way they feel is contrary to their body’s purpose. And they will always be in the minority, (I hope).
Any exposure to the Bible or Islam or most other religions is going to reinforce that innate instinct that this isn’t right, it isn’t normal.
So the best you can do is get the kid mental health support.
Social acceptance of this stuff is basically mandated today. Join the military? Sure. Get married? Sure. Be out at school or work? No problem.
And half of them think about suicide? That’s not society’s problem. That’s mental illness talking, and society makes a mistake by encouraging more and more of this mental illness.
