The argument for college is that you get intangible educational experiences, like arguing about Plato with a world renown professor under an oak tree in the quad. But that’s not a thing. Instead, you sit in a lecture hall with a thousand other saps listening to some pony-tailed grad student demand you respect xis pronouns.

Most of the other intangible experiences include waking up wearing someone else’s pants and needing Advil and a shower.

Some kids still go to college for valid reasons: to go to football games, get drunk, and get laid.

All of these woke universities assets should be seized to pay off the student loan debt.

I remember when the only student loans available were under the National Defense and Education Act (NDEA) and only for STEM related credentials. That was considered Constitutional under the Defense Clause.

I have no idea how that morphed into student loans for any major nor what would be the Constitutional basis for such a program. What I do know is that the “free” money raised the price precipitously as students had little “skin in the game” and schools lined up at the trough.

My hubby was laid off twice for a few months very early on in his career.

He continued paying off his student loan during each layoff.

Parents will get a child with whacked-off breasts or dicks and/or chemically mutilated.

About 10 years ago I started attending the local community college to study art. The number of transgenders was ZERO. Today, the halls are filled with them.

That’s a good-sized excerpt to NOT have the point of how using the loans destroys academia.

I find it interesting that student debt can’t be discharged in bankruptcy.
I can spend 40K on booze and strippers and I can discharge that…

I think a good start would be eliminating every human within, and every single office for, the HR Department.
Most pieces of paper are trash, and non indicative of intelligence or work ethic.

Somehow the students are fools, but the adults running banks and universities are not even remotely responsible for giving $150,000 to someone that smells like Jack Daniels and weed?

The problem isn’t simple, but needs addressing. Maybe we’ll get to it after we fix immigration…

The schools should have to pick up any costs of uncollected student loans.

**Most** of what is learned in STEM changes little from year to year. A lot of it is available on-line or found in used textbooks that can be purchased for $5 or less. Gee! How much has a calculus or general chemistry book changed since last year?

This is true even for the competitive fields of engineering medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, etc.

Solution: Private testing and certification exams!

Obviously, brick and mortar are needed for clinical rotations and laboratory experiences....but...it should **not** cost half-a million to become a physician or engineer. $25,000 should do it.

Author has an excellent point but he would have been much better off just explaining the point than trying to be a poor-man’s Dave Barry. Nothing sadder than the class jerk who thinks he’s the worlds best comedian but can’t pull off anything more than a stream of cringe-worthy invective and a bunch of potty-mouthed insults.

how infuriating it would be to reward dumb people at the expense of people who were not dumb.

Welcome to Bidens Ineptocracy

In his book. "Corporate Lifecycles."
How and why corporations grow and die

Author Dr. Ichak Adezes defines the lifecycles of corporations as:

Courtship
Infant
Go-Go
Adolescence
Prime
Stable
Aristocracy
Early Bureaucracy
Bureaucracy Death

However.....there is an intermediate phase between Bureaucracy and Death called Bidenomics...or Ineptocracy

How about a windfall profits tax on college endowment funds to pay for writing off student debts? Harvard’s endowment fund made over $10 Billion last year alone.

I'm grateful that I earned my MBA from a state university in 1987 when they still had faculty who actually worked in business. And while it didn't lead me to a decent paying job within a 4000 mile radius of the university, it did lead me to one in another country where I had a rewarding career for the next 14 years with another 18 years back in my home country.

Well actually closer to 20, but I am discounting two years at a "woke" corporation where I became a cog covering for idiot management who had been promoted to their level of incompetence.

Silly author. Academia is already destroyed.

There are cogent reasons why the loan forgiveness program is not a good thing, but that isn't one of them.
