he world faces a growing threat of Russia using nuclear weapons as the nation continues to face losses in Ukraine, according to one U.S. senator.
Bob Menendez, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, spoke about the prospect during an appearance on Fox News Sunday. The New Jersey democrat said he fears Russian President Vladimir Putin could turn to nuclear weapons as the continued failure of his invasion of Ukraine damages his image among his people, and called the possibility "a real concern."
"Well, one of my concerns is that, ironically, the more success that the Ukrainians have, the greater the risk that Putin will do something because he's losing and has to save face at home," Menendez told host Bret Baier. "And so the potential of a chemical, biological or tactical nuclear weapon may grow as a result of that".

Might be true, but since Russia is kicking butt, I’d say the converse applies - as Eastern Ukraine continues to be liberated, the risk of nuclear war drops.
I serious doubt that they would ruin the growing fields that they need just as much as others do.

We’ll see, but chemical weapons seem more likely than tactical nukes as a first escalation.
For the moment, Vladimir Putin is off the stage. It is not at all certain that his passion for dramatic acts is shared by any other of the ruling oligarchy in the Russian Federation.
But then, we are not getting entirely reliable information about the Russian side of things.
First it was the fear of Covid, next it’s the fear of nukes/Putin. Got it.
Ukraine would have to actually be succeeding for this to be true.

The reports are that a hard-core type is going to replace him, so things may get livelier in Ukraine once Putin is gone. But those are just ‘unnamed’ sources, so we’ll see...

Problem is, Ukraine is losing. It is a lie they are winning. I believe the lies are because they are losing. ith the help of “NATO partners” they are going to create a false flag and blame Russia. That is why all this nuke talk.
