VLADIMIR PUTIN's war effort was dealt one of its biggest blows to date yesterday when a surprise Ukrainian ambush attack killed dozens of Russian reinforcement troops and reportedly forced one of the Kremlin's top military commanders to flee the country.
The devastating attack is a huge blow to the Kremlin after President Putin had personally sent General Gerasimov to rescue the stalled war ahead of the May 9 Victory Day parade. General Gerasimov, who is the chief of staff of the Russian army, had been sent to the region to take personal control of the all-out assault on the Donbas region.
Russia has shifted its focus from taking Kyiv to seizing territory in eastern Ukraine following a series of retreats.
Footage of the ambush near the city of Izium was later released by the Ukrainian military and shared widely online.
The video of the strikes shows a series of coordinated explosions, before smoke billows into the air.
The attack, in the key battleground region of Kharkiv, is understood to have targeted a senior Russian military planning command post.
The blasts left a "large number of causalities among senior Russian officers" according to a Ukrainian political advisor.

In other Ministry of Truth doublespeak news; war is peace, freedom is slavery, and ignorance is strength.

That’s what we get when the MSM presstitutes band together as one, with one NWO Deep State Cabal narrative, while shutting out any other sources (like, f’rinstance, Russia’s RT news - not even on Telegram ATM).
Remember, at best we have two enemedias - AP and Reuters. And, I believe AP bought Reuters awhile ago. Unless it was the other way around.
Wow, Ukraine is playing a super intel game, they had to be ready and prepared ahead of time for this to work. No other explanation is possible.
From what I gather, Gerasimov departed before the attack. It was a visit, not a relocation of the General and his staff. You don’t keep a 4-star and his staff in an active combat zone very long. Even the visit was a bit risky. Too bad they did’t get him. Pretty bad OPSEC by the Russians that Ukes knew of the visit.
Don’t you think if all these British tabloid reports were true they would be all over CNN, FNC and all the other US media outlets.
UPDATE - Yesterday’s #Ukraine attack on the Rus. HQ in #Izium was designed to liquidate the high-value target - chief of Gen. Staff of RAF Gen. Valeriy Gerasimov. The Kremlin sent him to get a victory for the May 9 parade. Gerasimov was close to the blast but wounded.

I thought all the generals were dead.
Here’s the video of the strike - the first hit to the building was said to be a precision arty round - this is where the Officers were gathered. The rest of the hits were MRLs that were said to take out troops, tanks and other vehicles bivouacked in the wooded areas.
Sorry about the facebook link but was only one I could find.
