The Oklahoma House passed a parental rights bill on Thursday mandating that public schools allow parents to inspect and object to teachings on sexual orientation and gender identity. It also requires students to use bathrooms that correspond with their sex.
The amendment specifying bathroom use was a last-minute addition by Republican Rep. John Talley of Stillwater and Republican Rep. Kevin West of Moore in response to the Stillwater School Board’s refusal to back down from letting students use whichever bathrooms they want.
Despite pressure from the state’s Secretary of Education Ryan Walters and Attorney General John O’Connor, the Stillwater School Board insists that letting students use whichever bathroom they please is protected under the Biden administration’s proposed version of Title IX.
It’s an issue that has concerned parents for months and put the nearly 50,000-person college town at the center of the culture war.

Used to live in Stillwater, a college town. Does not surprise me that the school board is a bunch of commie queer groomers.
Thrybshould have included criminsl penalties for noncompliance. DemonRATsxareclawless scum. Always. A couple of 10 year sentences would bring the educrsts to heel.
Since you are in violation of State Law I will not support Your criminal enterprise, therefore I will be withholding school taxes until your criminal activity stops.
These Rats are cruisin for a brusin.
I live in NC and we had issues with the ‘Bathroom Bill’ because parents didn’t want a man dropping his pants to urinate in front of their 6 year old daughters and women didn’t feel safe with a man following them into a public bathroom at night.
We have lost lots of filming on the coastal cities and other business dealings but totally worth it.
“”Thrybshould have included criminsl penalties for noncompliance. DemonRATsxareclawless scum.””
Try that again with your eyes open!!
Title IX is one of the worst things that has ever happened to our country.
And the Federalist falls right in line with woke terminology.
Public schools are SUPPOSED TO BE GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED.
If the schools refuse to comply then those not following THE LAW must be at least fired if not imprisoned.
Yep title IX is another nation killing Trojan horse
Time to zero the base budget of the school district. Defund everything.
Off with their heads!
What is absolutely disgusting is that the people pushing this crap are almost all WOMEN!
More evidence that the 19th amendment was a bad idea.
Designate a porta-potty for the trannies.
Even if Republican lawmakers are minority voters in Congress, that doesn't mean that Republicans can't point out that desperate, alleged election-stealing Democrats don't have the constitutional authority to make many of the bills that they do, Title IX an example imo. So incumbent Republicans, regardless if they are minority party, evidently aren't upholding their oaths to protect protect and defend the Constitution.
The bottom line is that Trump's tsunami of patriot supporters need to exercise their voting power to apply Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to federal and state career lawmakers in 2022 midterm elections since corrupt, alleged election-stealing Congress cannot be expected to make Section 3 work.
"14th Amendment, Section 3: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof [emphases added]. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability."
"Despite pressure from the state’s Secretary of Education Ryan Walters and Attorney General John O’Connor, the Stillwater School Board insists that letting students use whichever bathroom they please is protected under the Biden administration’s proposed [??? emphases added] version of Title IX."
Next, the protected / proposed wording in the above sentence from OP is nonsense imo.
Regarding constitutionally indefensible (imo) Title IX, it remains that the only sex-related protection in the Constitution is the voting rights related 19th Amendment.
"19th Amendment:
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation."
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
So any sex-related federal legislation like Title IX that is not reasonably related to voting rights issues is unconstitutional imo.
Finally, patriots are again reminded that they must vote twice this election year. Your first vote is to primary career RINO incumbents. Your second vote is to replace outgoing Democrats and RINOs with Trump-endorsed patriot candidates.
Insights welcome.
Stillwater is home to OSU. Nuff said.
The world's crap.
