Connecticut lawmakers passed a measure 'Friday night' to open the state to women from around the country seeking abortions, a swipe at more conservative states that ban the procedure once fetal heartbeats are detected.
The bill, which was proposed with bipartisan support in both houses of Connecticut's legislature, would allow out-of-state visitors to undergo the procedure without consequence. Connecticut's Senate passed the bill by a vote of 25-9 late Friday
Connecticut joins a list of states controlled by Democrats that are enacting measures to prevent liabilities from being ascribed to people seeking abortions, according to the Guttmacher Institute, which describes itself as "a pro-choice research organization."
The bill has gone to the desk of Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont, a Democrat who promised to sign the bill. If signed, it will go into effect in July.

NYS jumped on that bandwagon a long time ago.
CT sucks . I know ; I was born there .
Back in the early 70’s it was New York.
Sadly, I still live here in Branford. For now………
I’m from Windham ...Have lived in Japan since 1985 .
What a wonderful selling point.
“Come to CT and murder your child”.
That could go on their license plates...
Lucky you.
Are you white?
I heard becoming a Japanese citizen is very difficult.
Ditto. No plans on heading back. The state with the strictest , or maybe used to be strict, insurance and healthcare laws in the country is opening up to all comers. Who’da thunk it but CT is a bipolar mess.
I wonder which one will change its motto to “The Baby Killing State”?
I don’t know; but this is the way it should have gone from the beginning.
The entire abortion ‘thing’ should have been left up to the States, and not made a Federal issue.
Refuse for liberal trash more like
I’m not sure what you mean.
The Constitution Abortion State (official)
The Nutmeg Maloch State
The Provisions Child-Murdering State
The Land of Steady Habits Unconscionable Actions
Regards,
I am married to a Japanese woman , have lived in Japan 36 years , and have a spotless record . It is a bit of a pain in the butt , however it would not be that difficult for me to become a citizen . No reason to , though . I could vote - big deal . I shall die an American .
