Russia's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova hit at Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby on Saturday after he got emotional talking about her country's invasion of Ukraine.
In a post on the messaging platform Telegram, she wrote in an "opinion" post that the press secretary is "losing his nerve."
She called his comments "rude, insulting and troublesome," noting he "said some nonsense" about Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Among other gibberish, he said it was ‘hard to look at what Russian forces are doing in Ukraine.’ Really? How hard can it be for an American rear admiral to look at anything?" she asked.

Putin’s days upon this earth are short. It appears that he has cancer of the stomach and Parkinson’s disease. He is scheduled for surgery very soon. Surgery may help his cancer situation, but nothing will cure his Parkinson’s. He now realizes that he will be unable to realize his dream of re-establishing the former USSR. He is a deadman walking, so what does he care what the world thinks about him. He is devoid of a moral compass to restrict how much pain and suffering he inflicts upon the population of Ukerain. The Russian citizens will have to deal with his insane behavior for years to come. Why? Because the Russian people yearn for the same as the rest of the civilized world. They yearn for the same life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Russian leadership is corrupt. Putin is the top man on the Russian leadership totem pole.
The US is giving the Ukrainians eleven F-16 fighters to properly respond to Russian whores.
So says the same guy who said they were getting any American out of Afghanistan who wanted to leave.
I don’t know why they call these guys “spoksmen” for whatever organization or whatever - why not let the brass themselves do their own speaking.
His job is to sell “emotion” - get people to feel all those tingly sorts of things that get their emotions to respond rather than reason.
Also a point is that the USA and the rest of Ukraine’s friends are supplying Ukraine with surplus equipment.
They haven’t used any of their prime resources. Russia, in the meanwhile, has used up most of it’s supposed “high tech, modern equipment “
, used up all their military trucks and have far, far fewer working tanks.
Or flagships.
The USA can give Ukraine it’s old stuff and that’s still enough to kick Putin’s...
