Russian Submarine Strikes Ukraine With Cruise Missiles: Defense Ministry
Newsmax ^ | April 29, 2022

Posted on 04/29/2022 4:53:59 PM PDT by Navy Patriot

Russia used a diesel submarine in the Black Sea to strike Ukrainian military targets with Kalibr cruise missiles, the first time Moscow has announced the use of its submarine fleet to hit its former Soviet neighbor.

The Russian defense ministry released a video showing a volley of Kalibr missiles emerging from the sea and soaring off into the horizon - to what the ministry said were Ukrainian military targets.

This is the first time Russia's military has reported using submarine strikes against Ukrainian targets, Interfax news agency reported on Friday.

“Yeah, no, done with that.”

Don’t despair.

Anyway, if you don’t like any of the candidates, vote for your dog as a write-in. I’ve done that a couple times. At least it makes you feel better.

Haha I love a good d measuring contest.

As a former commissioned officer in the USN stationed aboard Naval Base Point Loma, a submarine base, I’ve spoken with enough to know most submariners are a very odd bunch. That goes all the way up to the old man and I’ve briefed my share of O6 former Skippers.

Odd bunch. Sort of like DIs except DIs can turn whatever it is that makes them odd off.

But damn comforting to know they’re out there patrolling the seas wielding amazing firepower. It’s a shame the one who yields it is an utter nutcase.

Putin has imposed derigisme on the Russian economy. Sorry to enlighten you but this is the key hallmark of fascism. Naziism is national socialism which itself is between capitalism and socialism. Again, that’s Putin’s Russia.

The Black Sea. Amphibious landings. The country is landlocked essentially; per Wikipedia- “the Black sea at its closest point it is separated from the Dniester Liman, an estuary of the Black Sea, by only 3 km of Ukrainian territory”. 3 klicks-about a mile and a half. Amphibious landing to that point-even the Russians/Keystone cops with real guns could capture and hold 3 klicks of territory.

Pour the troops in and steamroll Transnistria. Badda boom badda bing-Russia is facing Ukraine from both the east and the west.
I dont know if they are capable of that. That whole coast has a lot of barrier beaches with water on the back side. That whole estuary is long and narrow and it is closed at the mouth by a barrier beach with a small opening and a vertical lift bridge. Those Russian amphibs would take a beating trying to get up there if they made it thru at all. Ukrainian teams with Javelins could pick away at them. They arent going to go south as they get too close to Romania in case their troops accidentally get lost. North puts them close to Odessa and the defenses there. Russia’s amphibious capabilities arent much. Most of those landing ships are small and have a limited capacity. Even overloaded that isnt much for men and material. They have no organic air capability. No helicopters to lift men over the beach and drop them in the rear. They could certainly use helicopter assault units launching from the occupied areas east of Odessa but I am not sure they can pull off that coordination. Can the Russians provide close air support? It would be a massive risk for them to try to undertake that IMO.

That’s true, Searcher, when they’re looking for any excuse they can find. They didn’t “attack” him, though; that missile strike took out a factory or something. I’d be interested if someone can objectively geolocate the strike at the time of the Secretary General’s visit, as well as where he was. My bet is that it wasn’t anywhere close. Kiev is a large city and I doubt even the Ukies would put an ammo factory (or whatever it was) next to the government house.

The Russians hit the city they KNEW the UNSG was visiting. It doesn’t even matter if Russia is on the right or wrong side in this conflict, it was a completely moronic move.

Yes, it gives people in power a totally valid reason to take action.

I think the Russians are already aware they’re fighting NATO and by proxy, the US. and their give-a-shit level has dropped down to pretty much nothing before they let it all hang out. it’s getting dicey and Bai-Densky is getting desperate that he’s about to be exposed.

If the message was actually, “We could’ve taken Zelensky out any time and could’ve taken you (SG) out with him if we chose.” I’d say “message received loud and clear”. So maybe the Russkies are simply saying, the ball’s now in your court, so show us what you got. If that’s the case, they’re telling NATO to show their hand.

They were just saying, “Bring it on”.

Ukraine SITREP 1. Russia again launched significantly fewer precision guided missile attacks overnight and this morning compared to earlier in the invasion.

2. Some impacts were reported in numerous locations across the country and a number of interceptions were reported, some likely near Odesa again where there was reportedly much air defence activity.

3. Ukrainian forces reported five missile interceptions during the previous 24hrs.

4. The Russian Navel assets continue to conduct operations off the coast around Odesa, but continue to operate out at some distance with no indications of any amphibious landings imminent.

5. Russian shelling on Kharkiv was much reduced overnight, but returned intensively this morning from the northeast direction.

6. Shelling across many cities and areas in the southeast was more sporadic overnight, but was intensive southeast of Izyum. Shelling continues this morning across many regions.

7. Russia continues to make some incremental gains, but it is clear their operations in this build up offensive phase (post regeneration/redeployment) appears to be more methodical.

8. Ukrainian forces are anticipating a significant increase in Russian offensives next week, based on reinforcements arriving into some regions, resupply movements and the weather forecast.

9. The Ukrainian forces crucial asset in their counteroffensive and defensive operations around Kyiv was their small unit agility and significant flexibility in operational scope.

10. In the east of the country Ukrainian defensive lines are more solidified aiding the defences of several cities and front lines, but potentially reducing such important agility and scope.

11. However, so far Ukrainian forces seem to continue to support defensive lines with adept agile small units, some operating in an almost QRF role and interrupting Russian gains significantly.

12. Ukrainian SF are spread thin, but are also expanding in strength with additional training and SF reinforcements underway.

13. Ukrainian SF Operations have expanded significantly in scope and area, we shall not detail locations and form, but their role will be crucial in the coming weeks and months.

14. The Russian advances to the southeast and southwest of Izyum continue to face significant resistance and harassment of resupply routes, with control changes on the ground very fluid.

15. In the last 48hrs Ukrainian forces conducting some successful attacks on Russian units outside of Kherson, whilst Russian forces launched attacks further west towards Mykolaiv testing Ukrainian defences outside the city.

16. Defences around Mykolaiv are significant now and Russian offensives here were repelled and pushed back. Both Russian and Ukrainian air activity is increasing in this southern region with significant UAV use by both.

17. Ukrainian forces claim to have also repelled nine Russian offensives in the Donbas in the last 24hrs.

18. Further Russian air strikes were conducted overnight on the Mariupol steel works region with reports of a fire burning in the region this morning. The situation in the region remains dire.

19. Russian air activity is on the increase again at the end of this week with more Close Air Support activity in the southeast and more daytime stand off airstrikes in the south and northeast with mostly unguided bombs. Russian UAV activity has also increased across most areas.

20. Ukrainian forces claim to have downed nine Russian UAVs in the last 24hrs along with another fighter aircraft, (not all UAVs verified as yet).

21. Concern continues to build with regards to possible Russian activity in the Moldova and Transnistria region with many countries changing travel warnings or telling citizens to leave the region.

22. Whilst yesterday there were reports of increased NATO Combat Air Patrols near the border region with Romania, CAPs/ISR sorties tracking on ADS-B/MLAT in this region seems consistent this morning with the increase in recent weeks along all of the NATO eastern concern regions.

23. The NATO/European response in general to the Russian invasion so far has been significant. The number of Combat Air Patrols, ISR sorties, Naval/Ground Forces redeployments to the region is unprecedented, as is the supply of weapons and equipment.

24. However, sustaining this longer term will be the real test in supporting Ukraine.

25. We have commentated previously on the depleting numbers and resupply problems of Russian precision guided missiles, but Britain, the US and many others in the coalition are seeing significant depletions in weaponary too.

A day or two ago there was a news article about Romanian soldiers deploying to Moldova while wearing Moldovan uniforms. When asked, I couldn’t find that apparently deleted article but have kept my antenna tuned for any more information either confirming or debunking the news.

I ran across another reference this evening and am posting it below. It’s not exactly the same as the first news, as it is a report of Romanian deployments to Moldova “fighting under the Moldovan flag”. That’s not a word-for-word duplication of what I’d seen before but again, it’s something for which I was paying attention. Read and judge for yourselves, as always.

NB: This is an extremely detailed sitrep with an incredible number of embedded links and videos. It’ll take at least two posts. TLDR at your discretion.

I want to point out something which I hadn’t heard before, and that’s Poland’s desire to enter western Ukraine to “protect historically Polish territory”. If I were in Lviv, for instance, that would chill my bones. It sounds almost as if certain countries are planning to slice up Ukraine like a peach cobbler, and it could be just about that messy. No wonder Romania is thinking about getting in on this action - lots of countries on Ukraine’s border used to have parts of it in their kingdoms before Ukraine was given nationhood, and quite recently (think Austro-Hungarian Empire pre-WWI).

Might be an interesting backyard brawl break out which wasn’t foreseen.

Large amount of significant updates today.

Let’s start with the most pressing – it looks like our reporting on the Transnistria RUMINT last time were accurate, the escalations there are now getting worse. More and more info pours out from every direction that suggests an increasingly grave situation.

Poland and Ukraine both have now announced military ‘exercises’ that will conveniently move equipment towards the east of the country:
⚡The Ministry of Defense of Poland announced that in connection with the “military exercises” from May 1 until the end of the month there will be heavy movement of columns with equipment in the north, east of the country
“Ukrainian media are reporting that a military exercise has been announced in Kotovsk (AKA Podilsk) from today to the 30th, ~20km from the Transnistrian border.”

While Transnistria reportedly announced mobilization: Moldova’s Breakaway Transnistria Orders General Mobilisation

And Bulgaria has warned its citizens to leave the country:
“Given the deteriorating situation in the Republic of Moldova and around it, we call on our compatriots to refrain from any trips to the country. We invite Bulgarian citizens who are on the territory of the Republic of Moldova to take measures to leave the country on currently available vehicles .”

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry asks its citizens to leave the country. The appeal is posted on the official website of the department.”

And many citizens in Transnistria were said to be fleeing already as snarled traffic was seen at border checkpoints.

A video of the likely Ukrainian terror attack on Tiraspol’s Ministry building was released, showing several masked gunmen armed with RPG’s shooting the building:

Footage Of Attack On Transnistrian Ministry Building In Tiraspol By Ukrainian Terrorist-Saboteurs

Arestovich has outright called for Moldova to take Transnistria which they “officially” declined, for now: Moldova turns down Kiev’s suggestions on Transnistria

Meanwhile the MI6 claims it is Russia that is preparing a mass assault there:
“ Mi-6 sent intelligence to the Office of the President of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that Russia is preparing a landing in Transnistria if an escalation begins, and is also activated on the southern front. Additional forces of the Russian army are being transferred to Crimea, and the Black Sea Fleet is preparing an operation in Bessarabia. British intelligence again recommended Zelensky to refrain from plans to attack the PMR until the Armed Forces of Ukraine are strengthened with new weapons.”

And ex-Prime Minister of Moldova issued the following statement:
“If the Russians manage to get to Tiraspol, it will be the end of Moldova,” ex-Prime Minister of Moldova Iurie Leanca.

“If Bucharest and Chisinau do not implement certain scenarios. Our only scenario is unire (the name of the movement for the unification of Romania and Moldova). When Romania takes this step together with Chisinau, we immediately fall under the security umbrella of NATO and the European Union.”

In the meantime, Washington continues to escalate its involvement, offering even more intelligence assets to Kiev: US to give Ukraine more intelligence – Bloomberg

And Biden now seeks a gargantuan $33 billion for Ukraine: Biden seeks $33 billion more for Ukraine

WarGonzo reports that Moldova is holding secret consultations with NATO on a combined action to retake Transnistria:
Спецоперация НАТО под названием «Кровавая Майя» (you can autotranslate the article)

Excerpt:
“So, our high-ranking insiders in Chisinau, who are really concerned about the security of ordinary people, report that the head of Moldova, Maia Sandu, is holding closed meetings with parliamentarians in order to convince them to publicly advocate for Moldova’s participation in hostilities against the PMR and the Russian military contingent deployed there. .

Naturally, Sandu does this not out of a personal militaristic nature, but on the orders of his immediate supervisors – German citizen Hans Martin Sieg and American political strategist Jason Smart, who act on instructions and direct instructions from NATO generals who cut up the corresponding tasks.

In the scenarios proposed by the curators, the Moldovan military themselves will allegedly participate nominally, direct participation in hostilities and their deployment, as well as further military planning, will fall on the shoulders of the Romanian Armed Forces. Thus, the NATO bloc is working out another scheme based on the “proxy” principle – the Romanians are fighting, but under the flag of Moldova. In general, according to the classics.

The reconnaissance has already been carried out, heavy weapons and manpower are being pulled together, but there is a problem – Sandu’s loyal associates, realizing the possible targeted consequences for their own persons, do not want to share with her the title of “bloody Maya” and the fate of the comedian Zelensky’s team, which, as we all understand, long ago decided.”

Large Romanian military convoys spotted heading towards the eastern border:
Romanian/U.S. Military Convoy Headed Towards Ukrainian Border

And now, the Russian head of SVR intelligence agency has stated:

Sputnik/RT both reporting it:
Poland has secret plan for Ukraine, Moscow claims

https://sputniknews.com/20220428/washington-warsaw-discuss-reunification-of-poland–western-ukraine-russian-foreign-intel-chief-1095121664.html

And at the same time, it’s being reported that:
“Washington has set up an intelligence center in Lvov where the Americans work with General Staff officers to get quick information from reconnaissance planes, UAVs and satellites that collect data around and over #Ukraine in space. The staff is about 50 people only from the USA. It is located in one of the communication buildings in Lviv.”

Washington has set up an intelligence center in Lvov where the Americans work with General Staff officers to get quick information from reconnaissance planes, UAVs and satellites that collect data around and over Ukraine in space.

Keep in mind, none of this should come as a surprise as it was weeks ago already that Poland was openly requesting a NATO mission to Ukraine: Poland to propose Ukraine peacekeeping mission at NATO summit, says PM

But now it seems things are escalating and they may take matters into their own hands. Personally, I don’t see much problem with it, why shouldn’t they take the Western part of Ukraine? Russia certainly doesn’t want it and it could be a good ‘compromise’ if something is worked out on the back end.

Russia only wants Odessa and in fact would prefer not to have to expend massive manpower and lives lost to conquer the western pale of Ukraine. Of course this is an oversimplification and we don’t know what disaster could turn out from these moves, or what Poland/NATO’s ultimate aims might actually be.

On that note Britain has announced the first official British mercenary killed in Ukraine
“London confirms the death of at least one British subject in Ukraine. Another one went missing. It is known that the killed militant’s name was Scott Sibley. According to rumors, he was a retired British military man who, either out of boredom or under a contract, decided to go on a “Russian safari”. Safari didn’t work.”

Two American mercenaries were also badly wounded in Orekhovo, one seemingly blinded for life by Russian artillery. You can read the description in the video below for more details:

Now the most important thing to understand is that all of these escalations are happening for one reason only, and that is: Russia is completely annihilating the Ukrainian armed forces in the Donbass. It is going even more horrifically for the AFU than many imagined. Here are some new videos just from the past day or two alone showing not only possibly hundreds of losses in KIA but new mass surrenders as well:

Today’s mass surrender:

“The War: Ukraine has experienced setback in the past few days. A senior Ukrainian official announced yesterday that Russian troops had taken part of the Kharkiv region. Yesterday, Russia announced that it has captured the entire Kherson region. No Ukrainian advances. Not good.”

And another: “Russia is increasing the pace of offensive in Ukraine in all directions, – Speaker of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Oleksandr Motuzyanyk. Apparently, even the Armed Forces of Ukraine are tired of the lulling lies of Arestovich.”

Not only have Russian advances been smashing Ukrainian defenses, but Russian strikes have continued their upswing on many objects of infrastructure:

“According to reliable information received in the south-west of Kharkov, the headquarters of the TRO/Azov was destroyed. There are dead and wounded.”

There are photos from the destroyed HQ, it looks like there could be a lot of dead.

More critical railway junctures west of Kiev were hit.

Ukraine of course continues its escalations into the asymmetric / terror warfare, hitting various sites on Russian territory.

There’s still no certainty of how they’re doing it apart from clues like the fact that several ‘saboteurs’ were arrested in Russia by the FSB yesterday, who were working for Ukrainian SBU. One was in Crimea, had explosives and was planning on bombing a shopping mall in Simferopol.

Many in Russia understandably are feeling fed up, and some believe Russia may eventually designate Ukraine as a terrorist state, which could open pathways for eventual formal declaration of war and mobilization, if need be.

@SamRamani2

Russia is likely to formally recognize Ukraine as a terrorist state The assassination attempts on Russian state media figures, which the FSB links to Ukraine’s SBU, and the attacks in Moldova’s breakaway Transnistria region are the pretexts for this move.

Margarita Semonyan, head of RT/Sputnik, added her voice to the mix. Western critics and some pro-Russian ‘maximalists’ believe she’s slowly softening the Russian public for the eventual acceptance of nuclear use:
“Explosions and air defense sirens in Belgorod. The Anglo-Saxons publicly offer Ukraine to transfer hostilities to the territory of Russia. And supply it with the means to implement this plan. What choice are you giving us, idiots? Complete destruction of the remaining Ukraine? Nuclear strike?”

Meanwhile, from the MI6 in UK:
“ Mi-6 have passed intelligence to the Office of the President of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that Russia is preparing strikes against decision-making centers in Ukraine. It is recommended not to use the command posts of the Ministry of Defense, the coordinates of which are known to the Russian special services.”

As of this writing, missiles have hit Kiev but so far it appears to have targeted the Artyom military factory and airfields in the vicinity, not decision centers, but we’ll see. The leadership is likely not worried anyway, there are reports that:
“Zelensky’s wife and children have already received British citizenship. Come on, he himself received it, although this should be contrary to the constitution of Ukraine. But the bloody clown’s parents refused allegiance. Well, at least someone in this family has a conscience.

Also, by the decision of the British government, citizenship was granted to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and his family members, as well as Zelensky’s adviser Mikhail Podolyak and his family members. A number of employees of the General Staff of Ukraine and the SBU are in the process of receiving.

The Ukrainian elites have prepared an alternate airfield for themselves, but the majority of Ukrainians will be left with a nose

Submarines can submerge more than 600 feet below the ocean’s surface for up to four months at a time, constantly patrolling and working classified missions, which means they can’t be seen or heard, but are always silently under the sea doing important work.”

They are not so silent they can not be heard from hundreds of miles away by SOSUS sensitive passive sonar. The twin screw Russian boats would leave a distinctive signature.

“I suspected it when I heard the russian warship was hit

And the refinery hits miles inside Russia”

Ukraine military was capable of both of those (with U.S. assistance providing the exact ship location). Neptune missiles in the first case and UKR-operated MI-8 (probably) helos in the second (two caught on video at extremely low altitude exiting the scene).

Top Five Russian Myths Debunked
Myth 1: NATO promised Russia it would not expand after the Cold War

Fact: Such an agreement was never made. NATO’s door has been open to new members since it was founded in 1949 – and that has never changed. This “Open Door Policy” is enshrined in Article 10 of NATO’s founding treaty, which says “any other European State in a position to further the principles of this Treaty and to contribute to the security of the North Atlantic” can apply for membership. Decisions on membership are taken by consensus among all Allies. No treaty signed by the United States, Europe and Russia included provisions on NATO membership.

The idea of NATO expansion beyond a united Germany was not on the agenda in 1989, particularly as the Warsaw Pact still existed. This was confirmed by Mikhail Gorbachev in an interview in 2014: “The topic of ‘NATO expansion’ was not discussed at all, and it wasn’t brought up in those years. I say this with full responsibility. Not a single Eastern European country raised the issue, not even after the Warsaw Pact ceased to exist in 1991. Western leaders didn’t bring it up, either.”

Declassified White House transcripts also reveal that, in 1997, Bill Clinton consistently refused Boris Yeltsin’s offer of a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ that no former Soviet Republics would enter NATO: “I can’t make commitments on behalf of NATO, and I’m not going to be in the position myself of vetoing NATO expansion with respect to any country, much less letting you or anyone else do so…NATO operates by consensus.”

Myth 2: NATO is aggressive and a threat to Russia

Fact: NATO is a defensive alliance, whose purpose is to protect our members. NATO’s official policy is that “the Alliance does not seek confrontation and poses no threat to Russia.” NATO didn’t invade Georgia; NATO didn’t invade Ukraine. Russia did.

NATO has reached out to Russia consistently and publicly over the past 30 years. We worked together on issues ranging from counter-narcotics and counter-terrorism to submarine rescue and civil emergency planning – even during periods of NATO enlargement. However, in 2014, in response to Russia’s aggressive actions against Ukraine, NATO suspended practical cooperation with Russia. We do not seek confrontation, but we can’t ignore Russia breaking international rules, undermining our stability and security.

In response to Russia’s use of military force against Ukraine, NATO deployed four multinational battlegroups to the Baltic States and Poland in 2016. These units are not permanently based in the region, are in line with Allies’ international commitments, and amount to around 5,000 troops. They do not pose a threat to Russia’s 1,000,000 strong army. Before Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea, there were no Allied troops in the eastern part of the Alliance.

NATO remains open to meaningful dialogue with Russia. That is why NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has invited all members of the NATO-Russia Council to a series of meetings to discuss European security, including the situation in and around Ukraine, NATO-Russia relations, and arms control and non-proliferation.

Myth 3: Ukraine cannot join NATO

Fact: NATO Allies welcome Ukraine’s aspirations to join NATO and they stand by the decision made at the 2008 Bucharest Summit that Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance.

Decisions regarding NATO membership are up to each individual applicant and the 30 NATO Allies. No one else. Russia has no right to intervene and cannot veto this process.

Like every country, Ukraine has the sovereign right to choose its own security arrangements. This is a fundamental principle of European security, one that Russia has also signed up to, including through the Helsinki Final Act (1975), the Charter of Paris (1990), the NATO-Russia Founding Act (1997) and the Charter for European Security (1999).

Myth 4: NATO is encircling and trying to contain Russia
map

Fact: NATO is a defensive alliance, whose purpose is to protect our member states. Our exercises and military deployments are not directed against Russia – or any other country.

This myth also ignores geography. Only 6% of Russia’s land borders touch NATO countries. Russia has land borders with 14 countries. Only five of them are NATO members.

Outside NATO territory, the Alliance only has a military presence in Kosovo and Iraq. The KFOR peacekeeping mission is carried out with a United Nations Security Council mandate.

NATO’s non-combat mission in Iraq contributes to the fight against terrorism and is carried out at the request of the Iraqi government, with full respect for Iraq’s sovereignty. In contrast, Russia has military bases and soldiers in three countries – Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine – without the consent of their governments. Russia also has amassed over 100,000 troops on Ukraine’s border and is threatening to invade Ukraine.

Myth 5: NATO’s interventions in the former Yugoslavia, Kosovo and Libya prove that the Alliance is not defensive

Fact: The former Yugoslavia did not break up because of NATO. The Alliance did not use military force to change borders in the former Yugoslavia. From 1992-1995, NATO conducted several military operations in Bosnia, including enforcing a no-fly-zone and providing air support for UN peacekeepers. These activities were mandated by the United Nations Security Council, of which Russia is a member. NATO air strikes against Bosnian Serb positions in 1995 helped pave the way for the Dayton peace agreement, which ended the war in Bosnia that had killed over 100,000 people. From 1996 onwards, NATO led multinational peacekeeping forces in Bosnia, which included troops from Russia. The European Union took over that mission in 2004.

The NATO-led operation in Libya in 2011 was launched under the authority of two UN Security Council Resolutions (UNSCR), 1970 and 1973, neither of which was opposed by Russia. UNSCR 1973 authorized the international community “to take all necessary measures” to “protect civilians and civilian populated areas under threat of attack”. This is what NATO did, with the political and military support of regional states and members of the Arab League.

NATO’s operation in Kosovo in 1999 followed over a year of intense diplomatic efforts by the UN and the Contact Group, of which Russia was a member, to end the conflict. The UN Security Council repeatedly branded the ethnic cleansing in Kosovo and the mounting number of refugees as a threat to international peace and security. NATO’s mission helped to end large-scale and sustained violations of human rights and the killing of civilians. KFOR, NATO’s ongoing peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, has a UNSC mandate (UNSCR 1244) and is supported by both Belgrade and Pristina.

Messed up.

Was just trying to post this below, it was the only part shown highlighted on my cell screen, don’t know why it posted all that.

( BoobieSueSaulA)linsky is apt to bug out to the U.K. and leave his fellow Ukrainians holding the bag of crap and rubble.

In iraq and Afghanistan, the USA won the wars easily. It lost the peace in the latter case.

Promises were made? Yes, to the legitimate government of Ukraine, not the Soros/Schwab coup that overthrew the legit government. We owe Soros, WEF, Open Society and his other ngos nothing. They control Ukraine. We know about the slaughter of the Russian speaking people. We know about the money laundering, drugs and child trafficking taking place in the Ukraine.

And all of that sounds precisely like the beef Hitler had with Czechoslovakia in 1937. Sudetenland, remember? Or Danzig in 1939. Or Karelia in 1939. Go stuff yourself you mini-Goebbels.

The Ukes are certainly in their existential war. They could get pushed into a corner where they feel it necessary to build their own nukes. After all, if they had kept those nukes they never woulda been invaded twice.

And once Ras Putin is looking at a nuke plume over one of his cities, suddenly we could be in an existential battle.

This proxy war in Ukraine is weakening the US economy with inflation and massive debt, just like the Vietnam War did. People forget so quickly about the sacrifice of 50,000 American service people in Vietnam. But go full speed ahead, folks, into another world conflict.
