Russia used a diesel submarine in the Black Sea to strike Ukrainian military targets with Kalibr cruise missiles, the first time Moscow has announced the use of its submarine fleet to hit its former Soviet neighbor.
The Russian defense ministry released a video showing a volley of Kalibr missiles emerging from the sea and soaring off into the horizon - to what the ministry said were Ukrainian military targets.
This is the first time Russia's military has reported using submarine strikes against Ukrainian targets, Interfax news agency reported on Friday.

The original argument for US involvement was simply to keep the Soviets from rolling in. Later it was seen that it also kept the Euros from fighting each other, which was their favorite activity once upon a time.
I know Spain from an industrial POV, besides being ethnically Spanish. I have to say you have no idea what you’re talking about. And I have lived in the US for forty years - in your vital industries, including aerospace. I have been on the factory floors of ALL your major military contractors, up to SpaceX.
How deep is thee wter in the Bosporos? Does Turkey have any submarines? Do they have some kind of torpedos targeted into the Bosporos? How have they stopped passage of the Bosporos?
Like our new head of the ministry of truth.

[Sure, let him have the poorest country in Europe, let him handle the freakin Middle East, lol. Didn’t we try that?]
Please tell me you didn't just say that.
Not necessarily. The ready access to satellite images and the presence of surveillance drones and many spies along with the Ukrainian's ability makes it pretty easy to find the subs launching missiles at Ukraine. The photo below shows one of the subs being loaded with missiles at the Russian naval base in Crimea. You can find that on google earth if you want, it is near 44°36'20.8"N 33°31'59.5"E.
The Ukrainians sank a transport ship that was sitting at a dock, hitting the submarines at Sebastopol would not be much harder except for the much better air defense coverage the Russians are likely to have there.
The Ukrainian military doesn't need US help to locate those subs, or the ammunition being loaded onto them.
Cool story...you should write a book.
Consider this - that all is US corruption.
These are all US public officials peddling influence in the US government. Sometimes even threatening a foreign country to get their corrupt way.
And you have the gall to call Ukraine corrupt? The US is by far the most corrupt country on earth. Tell me no.
Their going to spill the beans on Biden and stick us with Kamala for the next 2 years?
We always end up with a positive outcome when Foggy Bottom tries to make things "better."
I’m not excusing Russia, but nobody exports abortion, Hollywood depravation, and immorality like the USA.
There is a reason this nation isn’t found in Biblical Future Prophecy, but strangely enough Russia is (for nefarious reasons too).
This nation and the world are on borrowed time.
You are objecting to Ukraine defending itself by all means necessary. And you are objecting to anyone else helping them.
Therefore you are, to borrow a once popular phrase, “objectively pro-Russian”.
And people can also see your nonsense libtard post concerning disinfo lady Nina Jankowicz here in post #41:

Do you deny that Russia invaded Ukraine? If you answer honestly, I might be inclined to answer whatever nonsense you just posted.
My evaluation is that Russia does not want to risk it's surface fleet again by getting to close to Ukraine defenses.
You would know better than me, but I am sure that a sub lunched missile is substantially more expensive than a surface or air launched missal by a large margin.
What say you?
“That just shows you what you know.”
I guess more than you; and I wasn’t even in the navy! Silent Service is an old term and refers to the submarine service because running submerged they are supposedly silent. But, of course, they are not. Hell, when I was a kid in the 1950s there was even a TV show called “Silent Service.”
It’s pretty interesting — not to say sad — that an old Air Force veteran knows more about the term “Silent Service” than someone whose screen name is Navy Patriot who claims to be a submariner. Look it up, Sparky. “Silent Service” refers to running submerged.
Hell, I did it for you:
“’Silent Service’ is the Navy’s submarine force. The moniker ‘Silent Service’ comes from the way the force operates, according to the USO. Submarines can submerge more than 600 feet below the ocean’s surface for up to four months at a time, constantly patrolling and working classified missions, which means they can’t be seen or heard, but are always silently under the sea doing important work.”
You can also find information at “history.navy.mil”
The term Silent Service was widely used as far back as WWII.
Give it up, dude.
That troika [Vindman, Neuland and the
Ministry of Truff] are certainly not Constitutional patriots.
I guess it would depend on what the liberty conditions are like. Many Spanish or mostly British. Getting drunk or not. Lots of loose women or not. Russian sympathies in town or not.
I think you're completely damn right, except for the fact that the CCP is running neck and neck.
I think that is the most salient point in our reluctance to get behind Joe and Tory's Excellent adventure.
You shouldn’t deflect to attacking me to defend Biden and Zelensky.
