As I remember, several experimental treatments were being studied and discussed in this press conference—another being UV light treatments and others-—which during this conversation somehow became conflated with “injecting bleach.”
If anyone thought they heard a recommendation for injecting bleach, they weren’t paying attention. Same story as the Charlottesville “good people on both sides”

At the time I had read about an instrument that can be placed down into the lungs and emit UV light, a disinfectant. I assumed this was what Trump was talking about.
