We have nothing in our arsenal that can do what the Stinger missiles do?
Biden administration surely would keep an adequate supply for ourselves?
🤦‍♀️
Stinger missiles haven’t been made of in nearly two decades? I’m thinking it’s probably time for an updated design anyway.
We can just throw rocks at each other.
Anything Raytheon does goes to the highest bidder. Their only motivation is money....
“We’ve been working with the DoD for the last couple of weeks, we’re actively trying to resource some of the material, but unfortunately, DoD hasn’t bought a Stinger in about 18 years and some of the components are no longer commercially available,” Hayes said.

I wonder how the USA is going to be a major global military power with all its advanced weapon systems relying on overseas parts (chips).
No that's not exactly what the company says. 'go from the current production rate of 1,000 a year to the “max amount,” which he did not specify, “would take about a year.'
Industry won’t create that capacity on its own without clear guidance from the Pentagon.

US Army units already have next-generation Manpads.
Sure so let’s do feel goods and give them away.
Lets give away all or reserve oil, let’s give away all our food and hold our chest out at grin at how good we are.
Good until we realize we have nothing and then it will get ugly and there will be regret.
Sec Def Lloyd Austin literally moved straight from Raytheon Board of Directors to Secretary of Defense.
If Raytheon wants the money, Raytheon will get the money.
What does Bidenbot stooge, Secretary “Raytheon” Austin, have to say about this?
More good news, eh?
Gee, my system can’t take much more of all the terrific things happening to my country.
Stinger has two shots, can only Lock on to vehicles (Killstreak rewards), and it locks on hella fast.
Javelin has one shot, can hit vehicles (with a slower lock on) and locations, allowing you to essentially have a Predator missile in a launcher. Also, with the launcher glitch, it makes a big boom.
I sooner suspect Raytheon has had project and funding cut due to Gov. deciding they have an oversupply of missiles. And this is their play to get back in the game and get new contracts.
Our military facing a shortage of defense armaments like Stinger missiles?
Democrats are always happy when one of their plans comes together like this.
If Raytheon plays coy, and hard to get; drop ‘em! Give Elon Musk a call. He’ll supply them, with improved performance features.
Shoulder launched missiles are a growth industry. If stingers are not being built (btw it’s a 45 year old design), something else is.
