I will take notice if cities actually stop handing out thousands of residential building permits.

What does handing out residential building permits have to do with water usage in the state? The California state water management board wants to know....

“Or you could secure the borders, stop population growth and the flow of drugs, the gangs and their debt-slaves.”

I agree with you 100%. It’s ridiculous, and as the country slowly dies, leftist politicians are making matters worse. We have enough problems. We need solutions.

***So they’ll die of thirst next to a water source for lack of common sense.***

Reminds me of the old joke of the Cowboy who found a stranded thirsty Easterner sitting by a spring of fresh water.

Upon seeing the Cowboy, the Easterner runs up to him and asks....”Pardon me sir, do you by any chance have a cup?”

Maybe they can buy water from Mexico? It would give them the shits and that would solve another problem as they are so full of it. Most politicians would simply disappear.

Gas powers desalinization except in California

“All those millions of acre feet of water are to bathe the Delta smelt.”

AND to prevent Pacific Ocean / S.F. Bay salt water incursion up the river into the inlets of municipal fresh water suppliers on the delta at high tide. The interplay between high tide and river level sees the fresh/salt water interface march upriver a surprising distance, and there has to be enough flow in the river to push back, or several million Bay Area residents would suddenly have salt water coming out of their home and garden plumbing.

Yes, CA is ABSOLUTELY STUPID NOT building ANY more reservoirs to store water when its available to store, but this release schedule has a very necessary, practical function about it that could only be solved by erecting a Grand Coulee-style dam across the lower Sacramento River, which would necessarily feature a series of shipping locks, and some sort of fish ladder.

In a State obsessed with an agenda of FORCING the climate change mythology by INTENTIONALLY NOT taking normal steps to solve these sorts of problems; blowing beaucoup cash on bullet trains to/from nowhere, and a maddening host of far-left sociopolitical wokeism...

...just don’t EVER expect a sane solution to EVER emerge.

CASE IN POINT:

California bill would pay farmworkers $1,000 a month to help endure drought, climate crisis

“That’s the practical solution, but it’s CA. They won’t do it. So they’ll die of thirst next to a water source for lack of common sense.”

But they’ll have a slick high-speed train between Bakersfield and Merced. So they’ll have that going for them.

You just can’t fix stupid.

A desalinization plant was built in Santa Barbara many years ago until water became plentiful again so they sold it off to the Japanese. Smart long term planning...Not! We had record snow this winter but now face a water shortage?? Just another crisis used to control people. A bill was passed in the State Senate cutting water usage per household that goes into effect in either 2024 or 2025. Will the political elites be subject to the daily water usage rules? I don’t think so.

Do you know how to tell California is serious about its water shortage problem? All of these will revert to brown desert...

Newsom the Vile does have a valid excuse for acting as irrationally as he often does. You see, the “vaccine” booster he received live on TV — you know, the needle that damn near killed him — no doubt affected his cognitive process ... which qualifies hime to run for president on the Democrat/Communist Party ticket.
