I suspect she was extremely unhappy in her marriage and/or let her husband think for her.
I suspect she really believed in what she was doing. There are extremely few female suicide bombers. And those people do not fake this stuff, all of those candidates are watched and tested and if anything is “off” about them they are not going to be allowed to compromise who else they are working with.
