Yes, meaning VICTORY.

I meant I am pretty well educated to have an idea of what goes on in the world, even on an every-day culture level. Not a lot, and not real-world experience, but reasonably well read. I was not referring to this woman’s level of education.

I wasn’t commenting on your level of education - just on what the sign may have meant to the woman.

It might have meant ‘victory’ to her, too; or something else that we wouldn’t recognize at all because we are not grounded in her culture.

I just thought it was mistaken to assume that it was the ‘hippie’ peace sign.
