I wasn’t commenting on your level of education - just on what the sign may have meant to the woman.

It might have meant ‘victory’ to her, too; or something else that we wouldn’t recognize at all because we are not grounded in her culture.

I just thought it was mistaken to assume that it was the ‘hippie’ peace sign.

Yes,but something about her general look goes all too well with the insipid hippie-wannabe post-modern counter-western motif too common in our own society now.
