The Euro-peeing Union is writing checks with its mouth that its @ss can’t cash...
“Poland and Bulgaria complied with the terms and conditions of the contract. THEY didn’t apply the monetary sanctions against Russia.”
Oh well, it won’t be Russians freezing their tails off this winters. Perhaps they should have tried LISTENING to Russia, for once.
Anyway, most who will die are likely elderly, so definitely a savings for the governments of Poland and Bulgaria.
The Eurobullies ran their mouths till they got punched in the face.
Going back, Russia has never been one to stand by any
agreements. That’s why I would never buy into an
important deal on energy supplies with Russia.
I haven’t considered Putin to be a real reliable guy.
He seemed to me to always have a chip on his shoulder.
Well, here we are.
No matter who is at fault right now, Europe is exposed
because they ignored Russia’s record.
If you wish to say it was the U. S. that caused this
situation, go ahead. If Europe had avoided selling its
safety out with their choice of energy suppliers, they
still would be okay right now.
Yeah, if you act against them, they hit back. How whack...
“This would seem to be the equivalent of a force majeure scenario under contract law. Effectively … “We cannot meet the terms of the contract due to circumstances outside our control.””
I said that very thing in an earlier post.
“And you of all people should know that Russia NEVER does ANYTHING for FREE.”
We do. We give 80 billion in weapons to the Afghans, and shower Zelinsky in billions.
Good post. LOL. I just noticed it.
“Yeah, if you act against them, they hit back. How whack...”
If they act against us, we hit back.
It was ever thus.
In meantime here in the USA..Pig Face Bidets war on the oil and gas industry continues.
We could be supplying them with all they need.
Just you all wait. This is gonna get even worse. The mid east relies on grains from that area and they aint gonna get it.
“We do.”
But Russia doesn’t. Which was my point.
“Europe got entangled with a nation they never should have
trusted. Trump tried to warn them. “
That’s the wrong lesson. The wanted to simultaneously buy gas from a nation, and constantly antagonize that nation. You have to pick one.
Hell, even I know not to go to Burger King and pick and threaten the woman working the counter. When they spit in my food in return I don’t walk around whining that Burger King can’t be trusted.
Who does?
If Putin were to take over Europe, would you see that as a
good thing?
“Going back, Russia has never been one to stand by any
agreements.”
When have they welched on an agreement? And Putin has been 100% reliable. He told them for almost 15 years that Russia was not going to allow NATO up to it’s border.
Then as the Ukes ramped up to join NATO, and invade the Donbass, he spent about 6 months saying they wanted to discuss it. Then he delivered a letter to the US Embassy and gave a 90 day time frame for a concrete response or they would proceed accordingly if ignored.
We not only ignored him, we doubled down and told him we would do as we pleased and to STFU.
So he did exactly what he said. Of course, to DC that is completely shocking.
Trump backed out of a missile agreement with Russia during
his term, because Russia had developed a weapon we had an
agreement not to create.
Russia has functioned that way for most of my life.
You didn’t answer my question.
“Who does?”
No one. At least, not intentionally.
We’ve declared all out war against them economically. We claim we helped shoot down a cargo plane full of paratroopers, and we helped target their flagship (assuming we or the Brits didn’t do it with advisors).
And in that situation, you think anyone is thinking about contract law?
There won’t be financial relations with Russia again for decades no matter that outcome.
