They Won't Be Able to Hide What They've Been Doing: Twitter Source Code Locked Down After Musk Takeover

Twitter has taken the unusual step of locking down its source code after its board of directors accepted Elon Musk’s bid to take over the company, according to a new report.
According to Bloomberg, the code lockdown will make it harder for employees — disgruntled or otherwise — to make changes. Bloomberg cited as its source “people familiar with the matter” who were not named.
Any changes to Twitter’s code will require approval from a vice president, Bloomberg reported.
Twitter acted “to keep employees who may be miffed about the deal from ‘going rogue,’” the Bloomberg report said, citing one of its sources.

.
The Search Engines do the same thing.
Things and Pictures of Biden aren’t found in the first 130 pages.
In fact, if you add certain uncomplimentary words to Biden, they offer uncomplimentary pictures and posts of Trump instead. It’s all in the algorithm.
Wikipedia removed FACTS about Hunter Biden saying they didn’t want them to be used in “conspiracy theories.”
This is way beyond Google and Twitter, even though they are much bigger and much more obvious.

Had they not done so, and sabotage occurred, Musk could have pursued litigation against them.

The site code is interesting and some Twitter projects have been published as open source. Musk has said he would open source the algorithms. This would allow the public to see what news, accounts, tweets are prioritized and what is demoted. This would be telling in terms of bias, influence, etc.

I know nothing about such things but I’d bet Musk ordered that and “headed them off at the pass” as we say here in Colorado.

A little off topic, but I was not aware that Al Gore had any rhythm.

It would be interesting, and telling. It would blow the lid off things.
Which is exactly why we will never see them.
We will see something, but damned if it won’t be reasonably normal.
And the circus shall go on.

Excellent. Now we need to hear the details from Twitter’s programmers. Some of them will want to talk.
