Six years of BLM Killed More Blacks than 86 Years of Lynchings
American Thinker ^ | 25 April 2022 | Ronald J Kozar

In 2014, the number of black American murder victims was 6,095. Then, after the August 2014 killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, anti-police protests and riots began, federal officials and mass media sympathetic to rioters brought heightened scrutiny to police practices, BLM began its career, "broken windows" policing was curtailed, and police morale plummeted. The number of murders thereupon began to surge, never to return to 2014 levels.

The "excess" murder victims from 2015 through 2020 who were black -- that is, the additional black victims each year beyond the 2014 baseline -- add up to 11,005. Compare that to the number of lynchings during the heyday of Jim Crow. According to the Tuskegee Institute, the number of blacks lynched from 1882 through 1968 was 3,446.

From the article:

"It is seldom easy to reliably identify the causes of social trends, but even a child can connect the dots where the increase in murders since 2014 is concerned. The communities most afflicted by violent crime have sent an unmistakable message, through their protests, their rioting, and the pronouncements of their elected tribunes, that the police practices that brought the crime rate down after 1992 must end. Democracy, alas, has worked exactly the way it's supposed to, with voters telling elected officials what to do, those officials telling the police what to do, and the police obeying. And anyone can see the results."

One could legitimately argue that when you are fighting for freedom there are going to be deaths.

That is how these statistics will be spun by BLM when\if they are called to account.

Also, this is just a forshadowing of the real death toll should marxists like BLM actually gain control of governments.

Democracy is crowd rule and changes from day to day.

Too many people think that a republic stands for representatives.

A republic is rule of law. It is inefficient government that changes slowly. But it does change.

I clicked on this thread purely out of curiosity since we ALL know that for every ten murders of blax, 9.7 of them are committed by other blax.

And any group of people who ignore the reality of their circumstance (to the degree that blax ignore the real cause of crime against blax), they cannot be taken seriously. About anything. Period.

It wasn't just the Communist organization Black Lives MatterTM who killed more blacks in six years than in 86 years of lynchings, it was also Antifa and the Democrat Party.

Also, starting in May 2020, there was a serious rise in black traffic fatalities. In the months from the feast of St. Floyd to end 2020, and additional 1300 blacks were killed in traffic fatalities.

During this period, black traffic deaths increased 34%, while other racial groups fatalities increased 4% - and that is with Americans driving 15% fewer miles due to the pandemic.

The truth is: defund police = kill more blacks.

Back ground from Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynching_in_the_United_States (Graphic warning disturbing pictures.)

"According to the Tuskegee Institute, of the 4,743 people lynched between 1882 and 1968, 1,297 were listed as "white". The Tuskegee Institute, which kept the most complete records, documented victims internally as "Negro", "white", "Chinese", and occasionally as "Mexican" or "Indian", but merged these into only two categories of Black or white in the tallies it published. Mexican, Chinese, and Native American lynching victims were tallied as white. Particularly in the West, minorities such as Chinese, Native Americans, Mexicans, and others were also lynching victims. The lynching of Mexicans and Mexican Americans in the Southwest was long overlooked in American history, when attention was focused on the treatment of African Americans in the South.[22][25][77]"

I know, W is not alway known for even handed treatment. The focus, of course, is on whites lynching blacks (Extra legal and horrific.)

The last was in 1968 so anti lynching laws at this point would not seem a little late or not required given other legal remedies are available.

Tucker also did a good story the other night, on the dramatic increase in african american highway fatalities. It spiked in 2015, then leveled, and spiked again in 2020.

He said it aligns with the BLM protests in Fergeson (2014), and George Floyd/et al (2020). Police stopped enforcing traffic laws when African Americans were involved for fear of being accused of racism. So the lack of traffic enforcement, increased number of traffic fatalities... in 2020, the increase of AA fatalites was 50%... which is astounding, considering Covid and lockdowns, and less traffic on the roads....

There were some whites lynched in the West (for suspected cattle rustling and the like). I read once about some Italian immigrants being lynched in Louisiana for being too friendly to the black people.

I don't know if anyone has ever attempted to tabulate how many blacks were killed by whites during the Reconstruction era. The Tuskegee figures start in 1882 which is after Reconstruction ended. But the total from 1865 to 1968 may still be below the "excess deaths" since 2014.

To amend section 249 of title 18, United States Code, to specify lynching as a hate crime act. <>

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, <> SECTION 1. <> SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ``Emmett Till Antilynching Act''. SEC. 2. LYNCHING; OTHER CONSPIRACIES.

Section 249(a) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:

``(5) Lynching.--Whoever conspires to commit any offense under paragraph (1), (2), or (3) shall, if death or serious bodily injury (as defined in section 2246 of this title) results from the offense, be imprisoned for not more than 30 years, fined in accordance with this title, or both.
``(6) Other conspiracies.--Whoever conspires to commit any offense under paragraph (1), (2), or (3) shall, if death or serious bodily injury (as defined in section 2246 of this title) results from the offense, or if the offense includes kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, be imprisoned for not more than 30 years, fined in accordance with this title, or both.''.

Of course, white mob that attacks a black person in this way should be prosecuted. Will the law be equally applied??

If A white man involved in a traffic accident in a black neighborhood, because of his race, is dragged out of a car and killed or injured by a mob this would seem to apply. (I do not see this happening.) Will it be applied if a black crowd attacks a Jewish or Asian Woman? Or a nearby white person? Or any person dragged out of a car at an Antifa "Checkpoint" and beaten or attacked?

I know...depends on the political persuasion of the prosecutor.

The Senate’s three African-American senators, across both parties, have joined together with House colleagues to introduce the Justice for Victims of Lynching Act [S. 3178 and H.R. 6086].

Lynching is extrajudicial murder usually committed by a group of people or a mob, consisting of hanging somebody by a noose or beating someone to death. It’s considered among the most gruesome ways to murder someone. Lynching is primarily associated with whites committing the act against black people in the post-Civil War south.

More than 4,000 black people were lynched between 1877 and 1950. The white perpetrators, if they faced criminal charges at all, were usually acquitted. What the bill does

Most of the local traffic stops in my city have no plates or Missouri plates. I live in Kansas not far from KC MO.

Most of the dangerous drivers that speed past me and weave in and out on the highway, to the extent I can determine, tend to be black.

Makes sense. The police have decided to not risk their careers and lives and are allowing Darwinism to deal with it.

Not much discussion of that in the wiki article. Whites were lynched in the south if they were regarded as carpetbaggers or attempted to assist blacks in voting or registering to vote.

(Yep, Democrats intimidating and lynching Republicans.)

PBS Southern violence during reconstruction

"Clarence Walker, Historian: The violence in the South... was directed at white Southern Republicans. It was directed at black people. It was directed even at people who were not ostensibly political... this was a war of terror, aimed at not only the suppression of black voters and black politicos, but also at whites deemed to be "race traitors." In the South, any association with the Republican Party became a mark of social pariah-ness, to such a degree that people were terrified, because you had horrendous acts of violence against these Southern white Republicans: people being shot and lynched, and people having their homes burned..."

Even if you crunched the numbers into a “per capita” factor using the U.S. population for the different years, from 1882 to 1965, and from 2014 on, the lynching rates in the past are no match for the murder rates today.

But, the comparison, as meaningful as it is in some ways, is still a somewhat apples versus oranges comparisons.

The murder of most “blacks” is in most ways incidental to their race. Their murderer did not commit the murder BECAUSE they were “black”.

But lynchings were racially motivated for the most part.

That significant difference cannot be minimized just because todays murder rates are high and affect blacks disproportionately.
