Twitter Inc (TWTR.N) is poised to agree a sale to Elon Musk for around $43 billion in cash, the price the chief executive of Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) has called his "best and final" offer for the social media company, people familiar with the matter said.
Twitter may announce the $54.20-per-share deal later on Monday once its board has met to recommend the transaction to Twitter shareholders, the sources said. It is always possible that the deal collapses at the last minute, the sources added.

Or, there is some other scheme afoot....Wouldn't put it past the Left.
Earnings release Thursday
Must be really bad
Now if only he could do something about the failed CNN 🤪
I think they want to saddle him with it, and Jackyl has other ideas he wants to pursue, like starvation. All we can hope for are mass firings and relocation to Texas.

Dark days ahead. There is only one man who should be celebrating Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter — Vladimir Putin. My latest in the New York Times:

If this goes through, I’d say it will only be a matter of time before Biden declares it a monopoly and tries to break it up.
I hope he does forensic accounting. Who owns the servers? Where did the money come from? How much control has the government had from behind the scenes?
I am certainly interested in the censorship and the slanting of coverage/election meddling/payment in kind/campaign finance malfeasance. But I am also interested in the simple questions about corporate accounting. Because I don’t think Twitter is an ordinary company at all. Same with Facebook, Google, or MSM. Dark Money drives the whole shebang.
Twitter has about 7500 employees.
Will be interesting to see what changes occur there.
Seems like this would be a good thing if Musk plans to open up Twitter to the Patriotic Right.
My starting bid for CNN is a nickel.
I’m holding off on opinion...
Let’s hope Elon is not a huge disappointment.
I suspect tons of stuff being tossed in the fireplace as we write.
Enforcement of the antitrust laws is almost always one way and to the advantage (financial/political) of dems.. It’s criminal.
Will they just start a new company? Bet that’s the plan...
Does he also get everything Twitter Inc owns ?
Well well well, I find this surprising.
