The second round of French presidential elections opened this morning between incumbent President Emanuel Macron and far-right candidate Marine Le Pen.
According to recent polls, Macron leads by almost 10% over his rival.

Since there is no electoral college, state representation system, Paris decides all National voting.

Le Pen popularity is similar to but ideologically opposite of Bernie Sanders. He couldnt win in the USA and she cannot win in France for the same fundamental reasons.
I hope for France that 2022 is for them what 2016 was for the USA but I feel it is a bridge too far.
