Fox News host Tucker Carlson has suggested that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's finances be audited following the latest injection of US aid for Ukraine.
"The White House has sent more than a billion dollars to Ukraine in just the past week, and today as we told you, the Secretary of the Treasury announced that there'll be half a billion to pay the salaries of the Ukrainian government workers," Carlson said, during a segment of his show on Thursday.

Tucker has an agenda. I just think he should be clear and upfront about exactly what it is rather than repeatedly couching his points in ambiguous rhetorical questions.

we should definately know if he’s pocketing ANY of the money that we’ve provided. We know from experience that much of our foreign aid disappears into the pockets of politicians.
I agree, BUT, even if/when repubs are a majority, I can guarantee you they won't do it. They lack the testosterone to do it.

Russell Brand has been surprisingly good on this and other things. He’s a lefty but more in the mold of a Glen Greenwald, and has been quite critical of the Ukraine war, how covid was handled, free speech issues, ect. This is one of the times when the far left and far right see eye to eye on what’s going on.
Do you agree or disagree with that? Or do you just not have any idea of what a proper audit would actually entail?
After hostilities have seized, I would have absolutely no problem with conducting an audit. In fact, I think that should be a precondition to us agreeing to help in any manner with Ukraine's post war reconstruction. But demanding that one be conducted now is simply gamesmanship by Tucker.
