Leaders, the most effective and successful ones, display solid integrity. And, effective leaders demonstrate courage and credibility. After you match McCarthy’s actions and decisions since January 6 against what he says on this newly released audio, it’s clear that Kevin McCarthy is violating many of the key leadership principles that credible leadership and executive development programs promote.
It appears that while McCarthy is the GOP leader by title, he doesn’t bind himself to demonstrating effective leadership. As such, it’s now reasonable to conclude that McCarthy is just making a raw grab for power—leadership principles, integrity, honor and credibility be damned.
Then there is Liz Cheney.
Just imagine what Representative Liz Cheney must be thinking about the leadership—or lack thereof—of Kevin McCarthy.
Cheney, a recently announced winner of a 2022 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award (joining the likes of Ukrainian President Zelensky), is on the rise. Her leadership is getting noticed despite being thrown under the bus by McCarthy and others in GOP leadership.
Kevin McCarthy failed Liz Cheney. Not only is it his job to demonstrate leadership with her and other Republican representatives in Congress, it’s also his job to support those who demonstrate integrity and courage as well.

The audio recording, along with many other pieces of evidence, shows that McCarthy didn’t just fail to support Liz Cheney, he completely—and hypocritically—abandoned her.

They did what they had to to take out effective leaders like Newt Gingrich and then Tom Delay. And as a result we got pantywaists or blackmailable leaders like Dennis Hastert the pedophile, John Boehner the drunk, Paul Ryan the worthless and we almost had Eric Cantor the even more worthless.
In this instance, we don't mind them assisting us in removing McCarthy, because he's one of them anyway.
They wanted Liz Cheney to eventually be Speaker, and McCarthy assisted in that in putting her into leadership after only one term (but she was an Oligarch heir so that was ok).
But Cheney will be gone next January. And they are SOOOOO pissed at that.
This is our chance to get REAL leadership in the House, so we can have REAL bills, not endless continuing resolutions with everything bundled into one bill just before Christmas every year.

BECAUSE he supports Obama,
BECAUSE he supports ObamaCARE and RomneyCARE, and
BECAUSE he supports stealing donations made to Pres. Trump.

McCarthy telling Liz Cheney he is going to ask for Trump's resignation IS THE DEFINITION OF DISARRAY. If there is talk about asking for someone's resignation, it should be Jim Jordan asking for McCarty' resignation. He's toast, untrustworthy, exhibits horrible leadership skills even talking to Cheney about this matter.
McCarthy is a member of The Club.
He would be as bad as Ryan, Boehner or Pelosi.................

So what I heard in the recording was not that he thought Trump had done something wrong and should leave. Only that he he was sure the house would impeach and he was afraid that the senate might convict. He thought Trump should cut his losses.
For sure, disloyalty on cheney’s part, but at worst, wishy washiness (ala pence) on mccarthy’s part.
Only Gaetz, Greene, and Boebert will criticize McCarthy for this. The rest are beholding to McCarthy for campaign money.
