The U.S. has provided a total of $3.2 billion to Ukraine since the beginning of Biden's presidency, according to the White House.

Consider someone with a credit card who secretly fully intends to file for bankruptcy next month. Imagine them buying expensive trips, a freezer full of meat, etc. Maxing out that card on things hard or impossible to repossess because they have no intent to ever pay that bill.
The US Government never intends to pay this tab. One they will use stolen Russian money and gold, and two, they intend to transition America and the world to a new economy. This “debt” is meaningless to them.
One truly wonders why the $70 and $200 million worth of of counterfeit in circulation (According to the United States Department of Treasury) is of the slightest concern to them.
“You guys is da onez who keep bringing up our borders when the subject is Ukraine’s borders & sovereignty.”
Hey, it’s not their fault. If “bring up the US’s southern border” is on their daily sheet of talking points, they have to check it off or they don’t get paid.
We're living in post-Constitution America. This place has no resemblance to the nation I was born in.
Just what does he owe Ukraine for? What favor did they do for him that he’s repaying?
Zelensky holds a press conference demanding more money, Biden responds with a public announcement that another billion is on the way. Sounds like blackmail to me.
The 10% con is still working.
Where’s all our standing with ukraine folks? No amount is too much, right guys? We just have to do it, no matter what, right? Maybe they’re not here to post because they’ve taken up arms in ukraine to defend it. Its that important.
I think Ukraine is controlled by nazis, and are at best, pawns of the CIA and globalists. But as for the 10 to 1 missile to tank ratio, I would expect that number isn’t unreasonable in a purely military sense. This is because you are not sure -where- all those tanks can appear and cannot rapidly adjust. Sort of the way we had numbers of Anti-sub aircraft, Subchasers and Destroyers out of all proportion to the number of enemy submarines in WWII. The Japanese had 174 ocean going subs, Germany had 1162. Our anti-sub platforms were at least 10 to 1.
That said, I don’t think we should give them any missiles, but if I was a military guy planning their defense, I would want such a ratio to ensure I had missiles sufficient for several contingencies. Of course, that has it’s own problems when giving them to a pervasively corrupt nation.
I don’t want those two linked. I want our border heavily enforced, and I don’t care about Ukraine’s. None at all.
Cool. Then don’t comment on those Ukraine threads, since the two issues are not linked.
comments are welcome on open threads.
You guys are using it as a red herring. Your entire approach to these threads is one logical fallacy after another.
Can’t some of our esteemed representatives step in? This is an undeclared personal war declared by the Biden forces in order to protect their client state, Ukraine. It has paid them lots of money and, most important of all, knows where the bodies are buried. Zelensky is essentially blackmailing the very blackmailable Biden family.
I think they also saw a chance to rev up the anti-Russian hysteria, conveniently timed to coincide with the moment at which the whole phony Russia, Russia, Russia narrative about Trump is being exposed.
Comment as you see fit
Exactly. Not to mention they are destroying a nationwide crime scene.
I don’t think the thinking goes in that direction nor along those lines.
The thinking is, “Here’s a chance to dump a towering s**tload of money into an unaccountable black hole under cover of doing a righteous deed, that of helping the Ukes fend off the evil Russian bear and the Ukes will ultimately lose anyway and we’ll get to do it more and more. We’ll look like heroes and siphon off millions.”
“where does he get the power to do this? Doesn’t congress have to approve?”
Congress appropriated $14 billion for Ukraine in the budget that passed. The Administration has started doling it out in a series of packages, $300-800 million at a time.
At this rate, it seems that they will be going back to Congress for more in a couple of months (unless they have some Intel that the war will be over by then).
And I’d go farther:
“we had better get in on the grift during this war/destruction phase because we don’t know how long it will last.”
Closely followed by: “And then we’ll be there to provide rebuilding aid when this phase is over.” You can bet your bottom dollar these plans are already being drawn up, the covering propaganda prepared in advance.
The idea is to stand next to the waterfall with your spoon out. The bigger the waterfall, the bigger your spoon, the better. Get next to the biggest money flow you can with biggest spoon you can. That’s all this is. The number of lives lost, the extent of the destruction is low level collateral damage.
