Trump walks out of explosive Piers Morgan interview after being pressed on 2020 election

Former President Donald Trump blasted Piers Morgan as “very dishonest” while walking out of an interview with the TV presenter and Post columnist after being pressed on his claims that he lost the 2020 presidential election due to voter fraud.

The 45th president became increasingly frustrated with Morgan’s questions, at one point calling him a “fool,” according to clips of the sit down.

“I think I’m a very honest man … much more honest than you, actually,” Trump said at one point.

“Really?” Morgan asked.

“Yeah,” Trump responded.

Elsewhere, Morgan told Trump the 2020 vote “was a free and fair election. You lost.”

“Only a fool would think that,” Trump shot back.

“You think I’m a fool?” Morgan retorted.

“I do now, yeah,” Trump responded.

Trump has alleged almost since Election Night of 2020 that moves to expand mail-in voting due to the COVID-19 pandemic concealed election fraud by Democrats and their surrogates in key swing states like Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

“With respect, you haven’t produced the hard evidence,” Morgan said of Trump’s claims as the former president attempted to interject.

“I don’t think you’re real,” the former president said to Morgan, later turning to the production crew and calling his interviewer “very dishonest.”

The preview clip ended with Trump getting out of his seat and ordering production to “turn the camera off.”

“Very dishonest,” he added while walking away.

Describing the experience in a Thursday column for The Post, Morgan revealed he also told the former president that he blamed Trump’s refusal to admit defeat for the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

“Then you’re a fool! And you haven’t studied,” Trump responded, according to Morgan.

Morgan recounted that Trump called him a fool six more times in the interview, described Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)

I don’t think his ego will let him.

And yes I think the election was stolen, however unless someone has a time machine that’s over and done. Goal should make enough changes at the state level where it much harder to do. It can never be impossible all you can do is make it incrementally harder to do.

Exactly, and that's what I find so damn frustrating about the "I was robbed" complaint. We need to identify specifics, and make reasoned arguments about why the way voting was held in 2020 was a freaking disaster. If you get specific, and point out to be people things common sense reforms, you can win the argument. But you can't win the argument if you don't even make it.

Gibson was there to talk about his new movie, Father Stu, with Mark Wahlberg.....Period

But Jesse wanted to press him on Will Smith’s slap at the Oscars.
It appears Gibson had informed Jesse to stay on point.....and also Gibson’s press person was watching out for him

So when Jesse started pressing him on it...
...Gibson got real quiet.....shook his head....and looked away from the camera
Them his press person actually cut off the interview

It had to have been majorly embarrassing for Watters......but it was Watters fault

That very argument has been made over and over and over...
Sheesh!

Come on. Insulting the questioner and stomping out will “bring attention to election fraud”? Or will it make people think there was none, and he’s just saying there was?

“Yes, there was election fraud, and here’s how I know” would bring attention to it. Stomping out brings attention to Trump not being able to deal with hard questions, and makes him look dishonest.

"there are millions of us who would crawl over live coals to vote for Trump"

Honestly, I don't see that as a healthy outlook. If you worship at the alter of Trump, how far will you go? Would you support him if he suspends the Constitution? What if he said he had a good reason to deploy troops on American soil for the purpose of martial law? These are honest questions. I want some sort of insight into the way people who worship Trump think.

Trump has always been about himself. He is incapable of NOT talking about himself. I used to love him, but you cannot run the free world the way he would run it. Again, I will vote for him if I have to. But I do not want to.

BS. Give me Donald Trump. Best President in my 62 years on this earth. Dr Santos would be the ultra VP and then POTUS after President Trump retires.

He has made this case before interviews and on his social sites. I could bring it up but it has been deleted by Big Tech. We don’t know what case he made here. It was said in the other article, this was a preview and he actually sat down for 75 minutes. This article makes it sound like he sat down, said you’re a fool, and got up and left. Very dishonest. He said a lot more.

Haven’t seen many of the Trump is past his prime articles on FR lately. The Never Trumpets seemed to have altered their tactics somewhat with this thread.

makes him look dishonest

The deep state threw hate and lies at him x 5 years, and he looks dishonest? Look, if you don't agree that 11/3/20 was stolen, just say so.

I don’t like the whole “man on horseback” mindset. It’s the caudillo view of politics that has polluted much of the Western Hemisphere.

I have not heard Trump himself lay out a coherent, logical presentation of what happened in 2020, and what specifically must be changed moving forward. It just doesn’t seem to be his style, but it is what was needed.

Those who want Trump to lose, will see it that way no matter what proof was right before them.

And yes, they are FOOLS!

Good that Trump left!!

I'm just not sure that the cheating was enough to have flipped the result of the election.

Approximately 61.7K votes decided the election (PA, WI, AZ, GA) out of 158 million votes allegedly cast.
