In a statement penned Tuesday, Washington Post senior managing editor Cameron Barr stepped up to defend hypocritical malefactor Taylor Lorenz after she doxed the owner of the Libs of TikTok Twitter account, including her identity and address, all because she exposed the lunatics, groomers, and general extremists of the left. And rightfully, there was a great public outcry against the paper.
Laughably calling Lorenz an “accomplished and diligent journalist,” Barr said her “reporting methods comport entirely with The Washington Post’s professional standards.”
But in the rest of the statement, Barr spewed lies to cover for Lorenz’s disgusting style of muckraking. He falsely claimed the identity of the account holder “had become public knowledge on social media” before their report. “We did not publish or link to any detail about her personal life,” he added. This too was a massive LIE.
In addition to writing about how the user once lived in New York City and moved to Los Angeles, Lorenz noted the account holder was a real estate agent and a member of the Orthodox Jewish community. And she did, in fact, link to personal information before the paper was called out and silently deleted the link without an editor’s note or admission of guilt.
NewsBusters has confirmed (though we won’t share methods) that the link led to information tied to the user’s real estate license. The information included her full name, address, county, her employer, and her license number.
Lorenz even bragged about harassing her target’s family at their homes. “A woman at the address listed to Raichik’s name in Los Angeles declined to identify herself. On Monday night, a tweet from Glenn Greenwald confirmed the house that was visited belonged to [Chaya] Raichik’s family,” she wrote.
She even threatened someone with a similar name as her victim.

Democracy dies in darkness is their motto right? Where is the newsworthiness of revealing someone with a twitter account that calls out liberals on TikTok? These are the same people who, supposedly, will go to jail to protect an anonymous source. And yet they will not respect anonymity of someone who is simply shining light on things publicly shared on social media. Keep in mind they also do a deliberately poor job of sharing their conflicts of interest, who they are related to, who they share a bed with, what their political agenda is, etc. Their standards of professionalism are clearly not high.
Translation: we do what we want and eff you if you don’t like it.
Fair for the goose, fair for the gander.
All this account did was relay the messages the Left was already publicly posting to a wider audience. What was their problem? They don’t want people to know what the posters wanted people to know?
These people are dishonest in ways that are beyond description.

Hell no. I dropped them during the Afghanistan invasion when one of their editorialists said we should halt all military operations to honor ramadan. They once had a good sports section but that succumbed to PC and wokeness too.

Just assuming fair handling of such cases in court isn’t there some recourse to being doxed? Libel or civil damages? Defamation?
Yep...a lot of that going around. Perhaps why there are reports of so many US DoD funded Bioweapons Labs in the Ukraine..
Just keep in mind the Washington Post’s masthead motto:
“Democracy dies in darkness.”
It seems that Darkness = Intimidation/Silencing/Selective Coverage = Washington Post.
