The House Republicans are standing up for gun owners stuck in times of financial distress.

The Protecting Gun Owners in Bankruptcy Act was formally introduced this week, with Rep. Chris Jacobs, R-N.Y. and Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y. taking the promotional lead on the proposal.

If passed by the House, Senate, and President Joe Biden, the H.R. 7493 legislation would "modify federal bankruptcy law to allow an individual debtor to exempt from their bankruptcy estate one or more firearms up to a total maximum value of $3,000."

That won't let you keep much.

How would anyone know how many guns you have, if any at all?

Much more “interesting” is that they only get around to saying they’ll do this in an election years...

Why didn’t they get it done when they held both Congress and the WH?

Reminds me of all the incessant “talk” by the GOP about obamycare, NPR financing, etc., etc...

The last time a Republican congress did anything substantial was in the 1990s when Billy & Monica were in the WH...
Where’s the Pillsbury Doughboy when we need him...
If the GOP manages NOT to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in 2022, they could bring him back out of retirement as speaker...

It is sad election year posturing like this still holds sway over a vast swath of the sheep. Anyone who has been partially lucid for the last 50 years knows, if they had power they would be cowering from this bill.

The AR with .223 is a light recoiling rifle. I wanted an M1A, but never had the funds when I could lay hands on one. I settled for a nice AR-10 pattern. For .308/7.62x51, I prefer my Ruger bolt action or Remington 700-PSS. For 30-06, a Winchester Model 70 or T/C Encore. Either way, it's bruised shoulder time with the 30-06.

I purchased multiple boxes of Speer 100 gr Plinker in .30 cal. I can load those on the 30-30, .308, 30-06 brass and enjoy plinking paper with less bruises.

Your observation is very valid, when in power, RINOpublicans do refuse to promote 2A positive legislation, let alone shove it down DemoKKKrats throats, ... Thanks.
