But just 15 months later, President Joe Biden’s poll numbers are in freefall.
A new nationwide poll by Quinnipiac released last week puts Biden’s approval rating among Hispanics at just 26%.
“Upon entering office, FiveThirtyEight.com had Biden at 69 percent approval, so we’re talking a 43-percentage point drop in the span of 15 months,” The Hill reported. “And just 12 percent of Hispanics ‘approve strongly’ of Biden’s performance as president, while 54 percent ‘disapprove strongly’ or ‘disapprove somewhat.'”
What’s more, the latest poll shows a nearly 10-point drop from his approval rating among Hispanics on April 6.
Biden’s approval rating was also dismal among all those surveyed. “While 33 percent of Americans approve of the way President Biden is handling his job, 54 percent disapprove with 13 percent not offering an opinion. Biden’s 33 percent job approval ties the low that he received in a Quinnipiac University poll on January 12, 2022 when his job approval rating was a negative 33 – 53 percent,” the pollsters wrote.
Hispanics played a key role in putting Biden in the White House.
“Nearly a third more Hispanic voters participated in the 2020 presidential election as did in 2016, providing a boost to Democrat Joe Biden that swamped the small inroads that Republicans made in the share of the Hispanic vote,” Bloomberg reported. “New data from the U.S. Census Bureau show Hispanic voters made up 10.6% of the national electorate in 2020, an increase of 1.4 percentage points and rivaling Black voters who made up 12% to 13%. Non-Hispanic White voters comprised 71% of all voters, down from 73.3% in 2016.”
But since taking office, Biden’s numbers have skipped badly as inflation has soared and his efforts to solve the crisis at the southern border have failed. That matters to Hispanics, The Hill reported.
“Biden’s handling of the border may yield the most surprising data coming out of border states such as Texas. More than 50 percent of registered Latino voters there disapprove of the administration’s handling of the border. And as you may recall, Biden tapped Vice President Kamala Harris to handle the border crisis, but she has been almost entirely apathetic on this front,” the political website said.
Hispanic voters are now almost evenly split in support between Democrats and Republicans, Fox News reported.
“Nothing has happened that was promised,” government and businesses consultant Bertica Cabrera Morris told Fox News Digital. “I think the country is more divided than normal. It was divided during Obama, then during Trump, and now again – it’s not going in the right direction. It’s not the right leader.”
In December, Fox News reported that Biden and former President Donald Trump are dead even in a hypothetical 2024 race. “In an identical election between President Biden and former President Trump, 44% stated they would vote for Biden, while 43% said they would vote for Trump.”

It doesn’t matter. They will vote for him and his party anyway, they just don’t know it yet.
By the way Fox News polls rate right up there with the worst.
This keeps up and Nancy will go down to the border and personally build the wall to keep these people out. Why they are a threat to democracy she’ll cry.
His efforts have NOT failed. They have succeeded. Our wide open southern border is exactly what Biden and the Dems have wanted for at least five decades. Their opening salvo legislatively was the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, pushed by Ted Kennedy and signed into law by Ronald Reagan.
“They will vote for him and his party anyway, they just don’t know it yet.”
Yep. Hell some will not even know they voted Democrat after the election, once the vote counters make the proper switches.
I am not as optimistic as Bannon and Cortez on this.
They’ll be replaced with new Hispanics.
Biden is a vile demented old perv that deserves to burn in he!!.
Spot on, and also the illegals competing for work.
Being the naturally charming individual he is...byeme will win them back.
I don’t think so, Tim...................
If that keeps up, they will close the border and start deporting.
When push comes to shove, they will vote for him. It doesn’t matter if he is 20% populare with Hispanics, if the GOP are only 10% populare with them, most will vote Rat at the end of the day. Trump made modest gains. We will see if they were permanent or not.
Here’s the dirty secret:
The Hispanics who—over the years-—came to the USA legally & worked hard SHOULD be resentful of the FREELOADERS Biden is letting in.
Those who are established here are going to be competing for jobs—food- housing-medical-schooling with the freeloaders.
The ones who broke all the rules are getting treated like royalty by Biden.
