Is it not that those who open their borders to potentially unlimited immigration invite in those who will overpower them, subdue them and rule over them?

Sounds like the history goes way back to one of those "old Indian" words:

I remember reading an article a long time ago (1970s, I think) about the Mashpee Indians and their efforts to be officially recognized by the federal government. I think part of the problem was that they all had some African ancestry so the government’s position was that they were just a bunch of black people trying to get the benefits of being recognized as Indian.
