For years, from Mali to Afghanistan, I have worked for peace and risked my life for it. It is therefore not a question of justifying war, but of understanding what led us to it. I notice that the âexpertsâ who take turns on television analyze the situation on the basis of dubious information, most often hypotheses erected as factsâand then we no longer manage to understand what is happening. This is how panics are created.
The problem is not so much to know who is right in this conflict, but to question the way our leaders make their decisions.
Letâs try to examine the roots of the conflict. It starts with those who for the last eight years have been talking about âseparatistsâ or âindependentistsâ from Donbass. This is not true. The referendums conducted by the two self-proclaimed Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk in May 2014, were not referendums of âindependenceâ (незавиÑимоÑÑÑ), as some unscrupulous journalists have claimed, but referendums of âself-determinationâ or âautonomyâ (ÑамоÑÑоÑÑелÑноÑÑÑ). The qualifier âpro-Russianâ suggests that Russia was a party to the conflict, which was not the case, and the term âRussian speakersâ would have been more honest. Moreover, these referendums were conducted against the advice of Vladimir Putin.

So where are all the Ukrainians that are ethnic Russians welcoming the Russian invasion? Why are the Ukrainians of Russian ethnicity, who are 50% of the Ukrainian army ferociously fighting against the Russian invasion? Simple, the whole language issue was not a big deal for Ukrainians, but was the reason Putin started the Russian separatist movement in Ukraine with his little green men.
Article is a Russian fable. The Russian separatists in Ukraine came from Russia, were led by Russians from Russia, were armed by Russia, were funded by Russia and even had regular Russian military units enter Ukraine to fight against the Ukrainian army.
Odd characters instead of quotes?
Sounds like MSM talking heads, or Sun AM talk shows.
Lying about Ukraine doesn’t help tlozo.
Sure Vatnik
Well all one has to do is see the multiple times you used the words Russia in one sentence to understand the depth of Russia-phobia you give evidence of. There is a balanced approach to what’s going on in Ukraine but obviously too far from your reach.
Lol, only people I see posting bs about Russia-phobia are Russians.
