1) Impeachment is now just a purely political tool now
2) there are consequences when Democrats break all the norms and remove all the guard rails. Republicans WILL retaliate in kind the second they are back in power. If OTOH they are made to suffer:
if Democrats get thrown off of congressional committees
if Republicans use the Capital Police as their own gestapo,
if Republicans run sham committees investigating Democrats and don’t allow any Democrats on those committees - or only allow a couple of handpicked stooges from the Democrat party on those committees
if Republicans impeach Democrat presidents on bogus or purely political grounds
if Republicans serially and illegally leak information to friendly media that might be damaging to Democrats
That just might get Democrats to think again next time. The old RINO surrender monkey Marquis de Queensbury rules need to be thrown away. Fight just as dirty. Hit them back just as hard.
