Gov. Laura Kelly vetoed Friday a bill that would ban transgender athletes in girls' and women's sports, the second year in a row she has made such a move.
Similar to her veto message for the 2021 bill, Kelly again raised concerns about the impact such a policy would have on transgender youth in Kansas.
"We all want a fair and safe place for our kids to play and compete," Kelly wrote. "However, this bill didn't come from the experts at our schools, our athletes, or the Kansas State High School Activities Association. It came from politicians trying to score political points."
She also argued the legislation would hurt the state's ability to lure businesses to Kansas in light of boycott threats from major companies and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Worried about the effect on mentally unstable and ill children? You should be, but not be encouraging their instability and illness.

No need for "experts". Even an illiterate savage living in the deepest, most remote, jungles of South America, knows the difference between boys and and girls.

Excellent! Maybe Kansas Jayhawks football Coach Leipold's crappy football players (went 2-10 in 2021) can be champions in the powderpuff league.

We want a safe place for our kids to play and compete? Ok. Please tell us what is unsafe, about requiring players compete on teams for their biological sex? What is unsafe about that? Is safety even an issue?
To: fwdude
Unfortunately right now the best way to fight this is for the REAL female athletes to refuse to compete with these “people”.
They’re not gonna win anyway so what’s the use?

Gov. Laura Kelly . . . Kelly again raised concerns about the impact such a policy would have on transgender youth in Kansas. Uh-huh. She's insane. Can you imagine the locker-room assaults on all those Somebody's Daughters when a whole State system is forced to swallow all that? Sooner or later--probably sooner--she'll get dragged through the streets.
If she's lucky, she'll lose an election before that happens.

“However, this bill didn’t come from the experts at our schools...”
“The experts at our schools”...who is she trying to kid? Does she really think the staff at Kansas schools are experts at anything, let alone letting boys compete and shower with girls’ teams?

What happened to Kansas? The tumors that are the large urban areas and ego-laden Republican politicians splitting the ballot, from what I've heard.

Got to admire her. Red state and she’s up in November. More balls than the GOP.

These perverted dems keep piling on the case against our country. God will not be mocked.
