Russia has demanded Ukrainian forces still fighting to defend the besieged city of Mariupol lay down their weapons. The apparent ultimatum comes as Russia continues its relentless and devastating attack on the southeastern city.
Russian state media Ria reported that "without exception" all "Ukrainian armed units and foreign mercenaries" must exit from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Moscow time (same as local time) "without any weapons and ammunition," citing the Russian Defense Ministry.
An estimated 100,000 people remain in Mariupol and its immediate surroundings, which are reported to be largely under Russian control, with Ukrainian troops confined to pockets of resistance.
Some context: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zekensky late Saturday called the situation in the besieged city of Mariupol "inhuman," saying the situation remained "as severe as possible."
"Russia is deliberately trying to destroy everyone who is there in Mariupol," he said in his latest video address.

That might be true, but the troops in Mariupol are running out of ammo as is the rest of their army. Plus, the Russians are bringing up FAB 3000s, rusty as they are, for their TU’s to drop.
There were never very many Azovs maybe 350 or so at the star. Now the few remaining have been blended in with what’s left of the 501stm, 502nd, and the 36 ND.
There are more Neo-nazis in the Russian army then ever hoped to be in the Ukraine.

Russia has always been a 3rd rate military often with neat toys, but nonetheless relies on artillery bombardments (usually of civilians), expendable troops, torture and killing of civilians (terror) followed by mass rape. Rape, its what they do.
There is no such thing as a limited no-fly zone in that part of the world. Any attempt to do something like that would involve attacking Russia directly at the outset.
NATO has little choice - direct help = direct confrontation

Apparently they are more scary than effective. They rely on powdered magnesium and aluminum to ignite in a secondary explosion. Have 2X less explosive force than same warhead size with ordinary explosive.
The ones to worry about are the FAB 500tn and FAB 3000 series dropped from VKF bombers.

The Russians are definitely trying to eradicate the Azov brigade who are a bunch of neo Nazi Khazarians. their command and control center is Mauripol. The Russians early on opened corridors to let the populace leave the city and when possible they have tried to avoid engaging the regular Ukrainian army.

Much, much less. It has worked over the years studying and adopting western techniques, equipment, and logistics. Europe and the U.S. have trained Ukrainians for years now. Of course, since Russia’s invasion, they are even better equipped.

Good question, and its not just a political organization. Since 2014 its also been a commonly used insignia among Ukraine's paramilitary fighters in Eastern Ukraine...like the ones fighting in Mariupol.

Just to clarify — if we could get the real story, we might feel obliged to be on one side or another.
However the seamless pivot from COVID-mania to Ukraine-mania from the same people in government and media who lied through their teeth 5+ years running doesn’t fill me with fervor but with bitter skepticism.
At the same time Putin is a murderous SOB (hello Polonium!) and so even when he goes on video to say his reasons are A, B, and C I have the same reaction.
Thirdly we’re getting a repeat treatment of the “you shouldn’t be allowed to see anything except our viewpoint” overt censorship — from both camps. To put it in common terms, the fog of war remains complete over there.
So finally when every thread here — and I view FR as one of the homes of internet truth where was told the real story on Ra(th)ergate and many other topics — is full of “Putin stooge” and “Schwab lackey” and worse is just lame.
