During an interview with “Pod Save America” on Thursday released on Friday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated that canceling student loan debt is “on the table” and high costs are “an important thing to consider. That’s a big part of the consideration.”
Psaki responded to a question [relevant exchange begins around 1:00:55] on whether taking executive action on student loan debt cancelation is still on the table by stating, “Yes, still on the table. … So, as you said, it ends August 31. We have to then decide whether it’s extended and what you look at is, even though the economy’s very strong, we created more jobs last year than any year in history, even though that’s the case, we know, as we’ve been talking about, costs are too high. And certainly, not having to pay back student loans — nobody’s had to pay a dollar, a cent anything in student loans since Joe Biden’s been president, and if that can help people ease the burden of costs in other parts of their life, that’s an important thing to consider. That’s a big part of the consideration. So, between now and August 31, it’s either going to be extended or we’re going to make a decision…about canceling student debt.”

I paid off my student loan 35 years ago. Can I get a refund?
Yup. And, Mrs rktman will be expecting a check for what we paid off decades ago. With interest.
I paid my way through University.
I’m student debt free.
Why should I pay theirs?
Ya’ll going to reimburse me for my 100
thousand or so expense?
What gives Biden the power to do this?
How can such a decision possibly be within a president’s constitutional powers?!?
It’s how they operate. Just buying votes out in the open. Perfectly legal.
All they can do is pander.
So cancel debt for (1)professionals such as lawyers and doctors and (2)bozos who borrowed money to get degrees in gender studies, thus penalizing working class people who are more adversely effected by inflation and rising costs. Is that about right Ginger Goebbels?
Why cancel student debt? Why not cancel automobile debt? Why not cancel mortgage debt? Far more people have car and home loans than student loans.
These are rhetorical questions. I know the answer... leftist bums with college or grad school debt are the Democratic base. This is about rewarding the their base at the expense of everyone else.
Just cancel ALL DEBT!
THEN WE CAN ALL BE DEBT-FREEEEEE!
So frickin' OBVIOUS what they're doing.
They cancel $1 TRILLION owed by deadbeats with worthless degrees — people who should NEVER have gone to college in the first place. The only reason they went is because the GD government made college “affordable.”
So now they will help the non-paying deadbeats by printing another trillion dollars of funny money and send inflation for all of us up to 25% per annum.
God, I HATE HATE HATE these idiots.
I concur; I hate these people as well. Bill O’Reilly had a column yesterday comparing things under Trump (1 percent inflation, $ 2 a gallon gas prices, rising employment and pay for minority workers) with things under the senile imposter. I don’t need to recite the figures, or how it has all fallen apart in just 16 months, one third of the way through this fraudulent, stolen presidency.
I’m in like Flint. My mortgage whispered to me it is identifying as a student loan.
and the ones that get away with this robbery will be hated by EVERYBODY that paid their stud-loans back...
“How can such a decision possibly be within a president’s constitutional powers?l
Finally, someone asks the right question.
L
Just wait until the war kicks in, then what comes after.
I’m guessing a good many of us will not be around to see it.
There! Fixed it.
Insights welcome.
Next, patriots are reminded that they must vote twice this election year. Your first vote is to primary career RINO incumbents. Your second vote is to replace outgoing Democrats and RINOs with Trump-endorsed patriot candidates.
Again, insights welcome.
Lurkers must think alike.
