If nation state meant ethnic cleansing of millions of people, then I am against it.

Russia could have fought globalists without doing war crimes in Ukraine…

Putin did not have to attack the entire Ukraine, while trying to install a puppet regime in Kiev. He badly miscalculated the resolve of Ukrainians to fight back and the speed of western countries in providing military support.

Why does Poland stand with Ukraine? According to you, it should not have happened; it is nation states (plural) against the globalists (one-world government types).
Poland government understands that Putin presents greater existential threat at this moment than EU bureaucrats pushing globalists’ policies on Poland and Hungary.

You believe everything the globalist-owned propaganda press tells you when you should know better.

Shameful.

“Glad you enjoyed that “epic” video. About 400 guys killed. What fun.”

Screw 400 guys who have no problem killing civilians, sometimes with their hands bound, and raping children.

“A terrible loss of human life and 452 strapping young lads in the prime of their lives.”

A terrible loss of thousands of Ukrainian civilians of all ages, raped women and children, leveled beautiful cities, and millions of displaced people who lost everything they had.

P.S. Screw the 452 young lads. They are crab meal now, as far as I am concerned.

Define "war supporter".

Was Ukraine under some obligation to surrender to Russia?

I support Ukraine's right to self-defense.

With Joe in the White House, he would do nothing in response to Putin's use of "tactical nukes".

Neptunes should be BETTER than old Harpoons. The Neptune is an upgrade of the old Soviet Kh-35 anti-ship missile, with considerably improved range & electronics. (The Kh-35 was itself derived from the old Harpoons). Ukraine was contracted to supply Neptunes to Indonesia, but, I don’t know if any have been delivered.

If a Neptune hit one of Moskva’s dockside missile tubes - and good enough targeting electronics / systems definitely could go for such with sufficient accuracy - then it’d result in precisely the result that appears to have occurred.

I have a theory as to how the Ukes could have penetrated Moskva’s defenses, but, it starts with a question I don’t have an answer to. Does Ukraine have good HARM missiles?

In any event, Russia has no one to complain to but themselves.

Putin’s war against Ukraine just started. If this conflict continues with similar intensity for a few years, the death and destruction will be much worse than those in Syria or Iraq.

Serbia’s destruction in 1999 NATO bombing was much smaller in comparison to the other conflicts mentioned. Serbia lost approximately 2000 people in 78 days.

You are well named—you know your stuff and have a way with words. A good deal packed into four sentences, and the last one is definitely a keeper.

Putin is only 1/3 of the current problem. Bixen and Zelensky, the other two socialists, are the rest of our problem.

Now you’re just lying. That was a different poster.

But based on this conversation, he was correct.

Stalin was [eventually] an ally of America during WWII . . .

That was only after Hitler, Stalin's ally, turned on him with the invasion of Russia. Until that moment, through the von Ribbentrop Pact, Russia had been fighting WWII as allies of the Nazis.

Stalin's alliance with Hitler extended around the world. In America, the Soviets' spy network--the NKVD--through the US Longshoremen's unions it controlled, staged labor strikes in US ports to prevent shipments of US-made arms and equipment from sailing to support England at the height of the Nazi blitz.

As good little soldiers, the Communists in Hollywood denounced and organized protests against Roosevelt's Lend Lease program. Russia and America were tactical allies only. The minute Germany started to crumble, the Soviets started rolling up Eastern Europe and made the annexation of Germany their goal. We stopped them, barely, from swallowing the whole thing.

I don't see a contradiction there. The Soviets were allied with Hitler. This is a fact. Roosevelt was a Lefty and came to power and stayed there with the help of American Lefties, including Communists. Yet he was a politician. As WWII in Europe came to a boil, because of events and the views of the American electorate--which was not Communist--Roosevelt ceased to be an ally of Stalin, his enemy's friend.

No one changes sides quicker than a Leftist, whether he's Stalin or Roosevelt.

Not only that, Ukraine has been making fairly steady progress toward gaining EU accession the last few years. As anyone can readily look up. (Talk about a lot of red tape and meeting of requirements...!)

NATO was a much more distant goal. The conflict in Donbas would have had to be thoroughly resolved (NATO rules requirement), as would have been the opposition of several EU members. Of course Pooty counts on most people not knowing that, and his tools to keep telling the lie(s)...

Well, even Roosevelt couldn’t ignore the consequences of a German (and until June, 1941, “allied” w/ Russia) victory in Europe, and likely German nukes down the line as well.

Paul R--Yikes, you're right. It's easy to think of nukes as today's super-weapon. We forget the Germans, Russians, and the U.S. were all working on them. Einstein's work on matter vs. energy had made it inevitable.

Just from scuttlebutt in the Army Air Corps, plus technical stuff he'd read in the science press in high school, it was obvious to my father that World War II was going to end suddenly, and it would be with a nuke. And he was only a PFC.

"I do appreciate it when FR Russia lovers identify themselves. And to think they walk among us. I stand with Ukraine."

It is indeed irrational, as if Putin would even allow the likes of FR if it criticized him, and who outlawed any sharing of faith by evangelicals (the most conservative large religion group) and anyone else unless sanctioned by his state church, and persecuted such, and might poison JR. While I think most of the pro-Putin FReepers are libertarians, simply because the likes of Soros oppose Russia is no justification for siding with Putin.

I am not for a liberal Ukraine either, while like a golfer with a club raised to Heaven during a thunderstorm, America is essentially begging God for a nuclear strike by its increasingly flagrant anti-Christian liberal ethos, which is shown in its voting. No election should have been close in the last decades, let alone prohomosexual, proabortion pols being elected, or close to it. Gay marriage is even favored by the majority of Americans.
