Clashes in Shanghai, China, over Covid lockdown evictions – BBC News (Video)
BBC ^ | 4/15/2022

Video has emerged of clashes between police and people being forced out of their homes in Shanghai, as the city enters a third week of Covid lockdown.

Some residential compounds are being turned into quarantine centres.

Millions are confined to their homes as Shanghai battles a fresh outbreak of the virus. Anyone who tests positive is placed in quarantine.

But with more than 20,000 new cases a day, authorities are struggling to find enough space.

Amazing video to watch.

I have seen others, but this is the first one picked up by a major news source.

Shanghai, China

Times is reporting that there are some 400 million in some sort of lockdown currently. Smaller cities or districts are locked down because leaders are trying to avoid having a case of covid in their area!

Shanghai: Strict lockdown brings big chaos/Jiang’s factions are fighting there, Xi sends in military

https://youtu.be/J7weoXizEGU

This sudden and widespread outbreak in Shanghai has sent the formerly civilized city back to a primitive and savage state overnight. As many supermarkets are forced to close and thousands of delivery workers are forbidden to travel, supplies of necessities for some 26 million residents are severely disrupted. So are medical services.

The CCP deployed its troops to Shanghai overnight. Military transport planes flew to Shanghai’s Hongqiao Airport, military vehicles appeared on the highway and parked in the city. It might make sense to see military medical staff sent to Shanghai but why are military vehicles and non-medical soldiers? This is because there have been many odd elements about the outbreak in Shanghai, and infights among the top brass of the CCP are involved.

--- "Times is reporting that there are some 400 million in some sort of lockdown currently. Smaller cities or districts are locked down because leaders are trying to avoid having a case of covid in their area!"

And still, the "official" deaths report over twenty-eight months in Communist China's pandemic is a meager 13,640 as of today.

How easy it is to look at the official data. And yet the Times, BBC and all the other Big Media cannot find this simple thing. Obviously something else is going on in Communist China. And in the Big Media.

Is this a more lethal outbreak? It doesn’t make sense they would hurt their economy for no valid reason.

Not like the US where the Dems had political advantages to gain such as relaxing the voting laws. CCP has a monopoly on political power already. Part of me worries they in fact did create it and they know something we don’t, such as a potential to mutate to super lethality.

Taking shots in the dark here.

Trying to put together what the heck is going on there.

I keep recalling that 5 months ago they were warning citizens to stock up on food. To have enough food for a year!

Now we see this information coming out of Shanghai? Is this Omicron? Well, considering the rest of the world viewed it as nature’s inoculation and far less severe, it is hard to see these videos. But with a population that has had no exposure, would it be more severe and deadly? Keep in mind their vaccine is not effective and even our vaccines were useless against the omicron variant.

Or is this a huge psyop to bring their military into and occupy Shanghai?

The damage to the supply chain is immense and is going to hurt us too. Shanghai is a major hub. It raises the question in my mind, if this is a war tactic to sanction the United States without formal declaration.

Shanghai is the world’s largest container port and it’s functioning has been hit very hard in this current lock down.

Reuters report on effects on global supply chain.

https://www.reuters.com/world/china/chinas-widening-covid-curbs-threaten-global-supply-chain-paralysis-2022-04-13/

Port capacity to handle food imports critical to feeding the 26.3 million residents has reduced, most critically the lack of reefer power hookups for food containers.

Going to get uglier...

I have long asked, what would happen if China decided to stop all exports to the United States?

It would cripple us for decades. China does not need to go to actual war with us. An economic stoppage is all that would be needed to happen.

If the Biden regime loses negotiating power with China, India, etc. in the Asian block the United States is burnt toast. Food and medicine gone. Notice who Russia’s allies are aligning.

Every city south of Shanghai is in some sort of lockdown. Nearly the entire eastern coast? Plus they are moving military into Shanghai. Where’s Taiwan in relation? (rhetorical question). I don’t think this is what it appears to be.

Such a move would cause vastly more damage to China.
The US can easily (well, fairly easily) find alternate suppliers for nearly all manufactured goods it imports.

What I haven’t found yet is the impact on energy source imports.

About 67.3 percent of China’s crude oil supply in 2019 came from imports and has only grown. Granted that transfers from ships have a critical priority yet internal distribution has to have been affected.

Since the Chinese government places absolutely zero value on human life, a game of economic warfare is far more likely than the altruistic effort to make sure no one gets the sniffles.

Maybe, seems easier ways to do that. Such as lie about shipping problems etc.

Laowhy86, has a YouTube channel. He has a Chinese wife and mixed children and lived there for 10 years. So he know what he is talking about (well more than most I guess).

He claims it’s the evil CCP government trying to save face. They got a lot of political mileage and clout by their “exceptional” handling of the first waves. Therefore he says they are going to extreme measures to stop this one. They care not for individual lives or freedom so if they cause a few 10s of thousands to die from starvation, lack of medical care and a few hundred million to suffer what is it to the ones who gave use the Tiananmen Square massacre and the culture revolution?

Here’s a link I use for shipping news yt channel that addresses global shipping.

Channel link: https://youtube.com/c/WhatisGoingonWithShippingwSalMercogliano

Link to his video addressing what if China stopped moving American Cargo

https://youtu.be/Mj8J02hnDw4

He covers all aspects of shipping...for example he showed how merchant ship AIS sat identification and tracking devices have been turned off in the Black Sea to avoid sanctions against Russia and at sea transfers of Iranian oil ship to neutral flagged vessels. AIS can be unplugged to prevent tracking.

Great resource.

IMO China is not so politically monolithic as the outside world supposes. The Chicoms are very insecure.
