CAIRO, April 14 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabian investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal said on Thursday that as one of the major shareholders in Twitter he rejected a takeover bid by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.
"I don't believe that the proposed offer by Elon Musk ($54.20 per share) comes close to the intrinsic value of Twitter given its growth prospects," the prince said in a Twitter post.
Musk took aim at Twitter Inc with a $43 billion cash takeover offer on Thursday, with the Tesla CEO saying the social media giant needs to be taken private to grow and become a platform for free speech.

Well, Musk made the Saudi guy come out and admit he is a major shareholder. NOW we see why Twitter is run like it is. A major owner hates the U.S., no matter what he says. He's fulfilling the philosophy of the imams.

The Prince can't possibly hold 5.2%!
12.30% % of Shares Held by All Insider 83.73% % of Shares Held by Institutions
That's over 96% and the Prince is NOT listed as one of the "Insiders".

Growth prospects? This Saudi is full of shiite. More likely, just a ploy to get the price up further.
In any case, all of this “PR” is still useful to those who want to expose twitter as a tool for the left. That reality hasn't changed a bit, and to believe their business practices as they are now will translate into significant value down the road doesn't seem realistic to me.

Waleed doesn’t even own a large share of Twitter anymore. He sold a ton of shares a long time ago. He’s not even in the top 40.

Musk made the Saudi guy come out and admit he is a major shareholderI think that's true. Institutions have to declare but individuals don't have to declare until they reach something like 9.2%. That said, you may be right that we flushed out an American hater.

Maybe a little bit of research into Muslim views on Free Speech would enlighten you. Start in Iran.

Last I heard of this guy, he'd been imprisoned by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Guess he was turned loose and is much more likely to agree with whatever the Crown Prince says.

What Musk has done is kinda brilliant. Look at the list of the top shareholders. They can and should get out while they can (though, except for Morgan, who is involved in the deal).
If Musk dumps the stock, its a write off, and he kills Twitter. It’s a public pantsing of Twitter.

“intrinsic value of Twitter given its growth prospects” The only reason Twitter is not continuing to tank is because Musk gave the stock some attention by buying 9% and announcing he wanted to make it a free speech platform. Just because you are a Saudi royal doesn’t make you smart.

So, mostly held by brokerage firms and hedge funds who have a fiduciary responsibility to do what is best for their shareholders, which means, sell it.

Opposition to Musk buying Twitter is due to the election rigging exposure. Deals were struck between Twitter and others to actively serve the interests of political forces. Musk threatens the lid blowing off that can of dynamite.
