Joy Behar told her co-hosts Wednesday on ABC’s “The View” that “the Supreme Court is poised to pass a bill,” making New York State an open-carry state, seeming to confuse the legislative and judicial branches of the U.S. government.
Behar referenced the Supreme Court potentially ruling to overturn a New York 1913 gun control law that limits the ability to legally carry a concealed gun in public spaces.

My wife used to give me static for CCW when we go to church until that lunatic killed all those people at a church Bible study in South Carolina back in 2015.......now when we’re at church she checks to make sure I AM carrying.

They don’t pass bills but they have the power of judicial review to effectively check the actions of the legislative branch.
And sadly, this is who many stay at home moms get their news from.
With all of the activist judges legislating from the bench, her misunderstanding is almost understandable.
Our judicial system’s performance is in the tank, to put it mildly.

in general, i don’t care for open for carry myself, yes there are times it is easier to get something at the gas station etc, but... this is necessary for other reasons
if your gun/holster is exposed below your coat/shirt line or your coat is open exposing it you can get hit wi open carry charges and that is BS

It worries me to think her viewers are average Americans and what that might mean.

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of a “law repugnant to the Constitution.”
So, I would argue that, albeit virtually, the SC began legislating in 1857.
SCOTUS seems likely to require some form of ‘Shall Issue’ carry licenses, the ruling could end up being applied nationswide. Big victory since states like NY would be required to issue carry permits to all persons who can pass the Fed background check.
