The 62-year-old man wanted in connection with Tuesday's mass shooting on a rush-hour subway in Brooklyn has been apprehended in Manhattan, the NYPD confirmed Wednesday, more than a full day after the attack left 10 shot and many more injured.
Frank R. James was taken into custody near St. Marks Place and First Avenue in the East Village around 1:45 p.m. without incident after a 28-hour manhunt, NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell said, adding a Crime Stoppers tip helped bring him in.
In fact, police sources said they believe James called the tip line himself, saying he was at a McDonald's on the Lower East Side.

Some are claiming injuries but not from getting shot. Smoke inhalation, being trampled, back injuries from being jostled, whip lash etc. $$$$$$$$$$$

I could have sworn I saw a fox news segment with some foreign dude who called crime stoppers on him. Maybe it was while he was waiting for the cops to show or something.

So funny. I was working in Manhattan today when all our cellphones went off at 10:21 AM with the following message:
Emergency Alert: WANTED for Brooklyn Subway Shooting - Frank James, Black male, 62 years old. Any information can be directed to NYPD TIPS at 800-577-TIPS (8477). More info & photo: NYC.gov/notifynyc
Guess old Frank James got that message and decided to turn himself in after having one last Egg McMuffin and hash browns.
I would suspect many of them are new to the English language and move their lips as they slowly type those foreign words.

Well at least it explains why they were able to “find” him so fast. Great police work eh.
Amazing work by FBI and NYPD, everyone involved deserves a huge bonus! And an ice-cream too! And kudos to Mr. James for respect shown by him to the police officers, what a gentleman!
